Eh, I'm siting mostly Kotaku. KZ seems to fall in the 7/8 territory which is beyond fine for me...More so for a LAUNCH title. I've read reviews that have completely trashed Ghosts...but gave it like 8/8.9's.
Yikes! You werent kidding. I havent been following the reviews but just looked at Metacritic and Ghosts has a rating of 71 which is exceptionally low for a CoD game
No they didn't, not really. They said ALL MP maps will be free.. And they will be. The Season Pass is for co-op game modes.. Kind of like Horde and whatnot.
So.. Every MP map is free but if you want to play the co-op modes there's a season pass for them.
I may get it.. May not. I feel I'll be entertained by the fantastic MP enough where I won't need co-op modes.
So maybe I'm just not well versed in Killzone games, ShadowFall is my first, but I've played a lot of FPS games and I keep dying during the first mission. I get to this bunker in the woods, and turn off alarms but like ten guys still show up and murder me.
Watching the walkthroughs on YT, is this game as weird as it looks? Visually it looks as great as expected, but gameplay wise this game looks extremely disappointing and not nearly as thought out as Killzone 2, or 3 even. At places I'd say it even looks ******. And I'm a Killzone fan!
... No? Plays just fine to me. Easily my favorite thus far. It does have its odd moments.. Stealth and what not that doesn't work.. But other than that, it's fine.
I tried to play Killzone 1 to prepare myself for this and I had to shut it off. That game has not aged at all. Its my first time playing it and the checkpoints are annoying and the gameplay, level design and gun controls just aren't good at all. Man they really improved things with 2. I'll try some of that later. I only did the opening segment and years later its amazing just how good that game still looks. Visually it was ahead of its time when it was released and still holds up quite well
Some of the reviews online were saying with how good the game looks being a launch title compare it to how average Resistance: Fall of Man looks nowadays, and that years later we'll be saying these visuals look godawaful. Scary.
What's so ****** about them?,I'm curious cause I've read around the net that some of the game is great but other parts is"****" and so I want to know what's so bad about those parts
So the game is basically about America's relationship with Muslims post-9/11
If this wasn't clear the end is pretty much Sinclaire handing out Bush slogans left and right until you assassinate him.
The stealth bits prior were pretty agrravating and unwelcome, the last one was extremely easy because of cloak. Action was good, touch pad was nice and useful all in all I enjoyed it but in the same sort of satisfactory way I enjoy the Killzone games.
Oh on those fronts its absolutely fantastic. Wonderful visuals and the controls are nice and snappy. The drone stuff was a little weird with the touchpad at first but I got the hang of it and it proved real handy.
