Are you a fan of the animated series? Are you a little kid? And why did you like this movie?

No matter how you look at this movie... the only talent I see is in some of the cinematography, visual effects and music. Those three areas are nothing special, but average... while the rest of the movie looks exactly like that movie me and my friends made in the woods with a hand held camera.

Actually the only crowd of people that I've found that likes this movie are a minority of the fan base, most under 10 years old. If you aren't part of that minority, then I really would like to see your reasoning.

Oh My GAWD. These are like rough cuts.......in fact, the whole entire movie felt like one huge rough cut of the film. ****ing ridiculous!

That depends on how you define faithful... In my opinion... it's a mockery.

To Shyamalan's credit, plot wise, he was going in the right direction to making a good movie, he just stumbled every conceivible step in the way.

I already posted my review a page or two back.

And to be honest, after seeing the film i've been asking around (non forum goers) and it seems that most people I talk to infact LIKE the film. The only hate I seem to be finding for the film is on forums.

Not to be the devil's advocate, but I also thought the sets, props, and costumes in this film were very beautifully designed and made, and the musical score was so good that I bought it before I'd even seen the film. However, many people sadly won't notice any of the work that went into those when you have to experience them through the movie's horrible acting, dialogue, and cinematography. Shyamalan truly is a hack of hacks, because he had every resource necessary at his fingertips to make an epic fantasy film, but instead the film he made was an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions.
