I dont know why people still want a sequal to this movie. Do you really want a folloup from this garbage. I say just wait a few yrs and get a better director like peter jackson or sumthin and reboot it. Make it funny also.

Well District 9 doesn't count since he's only producing it. King Kong is still great but The Lovely Bones was just disappointed.

that's part of making a film tho. he said "made" not directed. it's not the same. he helped make that movie.

no... no... please stop trashing my cherished Avatar!!! I can't believe I like the first 4 movies that M Night has done... I own them, and like them, and this is complete garbage. Oh and about Peter Jackson, King Kong is underrated, Lovely Bones was overrated, and I just hope he can be his old self for the Hobbit and deliver.

the costumes looked good, the locations, appa, they just forgot the story. how can a writer forget the story. it was just a bunch of well dressed puppets saying nothing.

I'll watch the deleted scenes on Youtube, but I'm not paying good money for the theatrical cut. I mean, what's the point of releasing it on home video if it's just the same old crap we saw in theaters?

I've never seen the entire animated series so I'm not bound by some 'did they translate it right' view in my experience of this film.

It was a bit slow in the begining and likely would have done with 10-20min more of explaining at a few points. However, I did like what I saw enough to be curious about another installment.

It did kind of middling at the US box office but its worldwide number is fair. Not sure if this falls into the category of DVD sales pushing a sequel forward could happen but I'd like it to happen.

For me, the problem was never about accuracy. The problem for me and most viewers was the dialogue, the characterization, and the pacing.

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc DVD, 1-disc Blu-ray, and Blu-ray/DVD Combo releases of The Last Airbender for November 16th. The only extra material on the 1-disc DVD and Blu-ray will be a Origins of the Avatar featurette, deleted scenes, and a gag reel. The Blu-ray/DVD Combo release will 2 additional featurettes ("Siege of the North", "Katara for a Day"), Avatar Annotations, and a digital copy of the film. We've attached the official package artwork for each below:

Against my better judgement, I'll still probably pick this up on Blu-ray.:(

Worldwide total: $290,640,787

It will probably end up at $305-310 million.

Noah Ringer's face looks weird on the cover.

But I havent seen it yet, so I might rent this

they shouldve just added the deleted scenes to the movie(on dvd/bluray)..... what more damage could it possibly make? lmao
