Deadpool 2 ? The Lewis Tan thread - Shatterstar? ?

Don't care about the race change with him, I just think be looks really bad. Cheap looking costume and wig to me, which is surprising when everything else looks so good.

The race change of domino bothers me though, seeing as how she literally looked like a domino in the comics with a black dot on literally white skin which made sense with her name, now they made her a black woman with what I'm guessing they'll say is a skin condition to explain the white skin

It's most definitely intentional. I mean, everything about his look screams INTENTIONAL.

So why should Shatterstar look intentionally cheap? That's a disrespect to the source material. He has acool design in the comics.

To give you something else to complain about on the boards.
To me the movie suit looks just as cheesy (and I mean that affectionately) and over the top as the comic book version, in a bit of a tongue in cheek way and without it taking itself too seriously. I think it's a cool and fun look and actually very faithful to the source material.

Just wait for the MCU version coming down the line. Yule love it!

I need to catch up on Into the Badlands.

As for Shatterstar's look... it's faithful to the comics but it's also cheesy. But like JKR said, the comic book look is cheesy. I mean, he's the epitome of early 1990s Rob Liefeld designs. Swords, absurdly long ponytail, glowy eye with a tattoo or scar, weird face guard thing, and of course, POUCHES. I remember he created a character called Prophet for Image Comics that looked like exactly Shatterstar, just with a different color scheme (basically the Luigi to Shatterstar's Mario).

It looks quite bad. Like a made for TV film costume.

I’m a bit sad. I love shatterstar and I was hoping he would at least get to flirt with deadpool. What a waste.

Is Lewis tan not nice on set? This seems to happen a lot although he seems to have a lot going for him

I’m pretty sure the characters screentime was not based on how nice the actor was. It’s based on the script they were working from.

I wish we’d see more of him. Could have had some gay hero kicking some butt.

Got mixed feelings about the treatment of Shatterstar. Personally never cared about the character,[BLACKOUT] so his death didn't bother me, but I was bummed for Lewis Tan. Would have loved to see him in a reoccoring superhero role.

Also he name dropped Mojo world, which is a story arc I would have loved to see Fox tackle. But now that he's dead I wonder if they would ever go near that material. [/BLACKOUT]

Yeah, but I think they spread out the part pretty effectively. He was basically all over the movie.

Bisexual.

And I don’t know, that line about how he was kind of a dick. Made me think it was a bit of a nod to the crew or something. I just thought people would be making more use of him by now. He is very handsome and charismatic

Yeah, I feel bad for Lewis Tan; seems like he should be breaking through by now, but then, he's not a bland white guy that Hollywood seems to be trying to make "happen."

He'd make a killer Namor or Dick Grayson.

First Rictor, now Shatterstar! Next time, they'd use Feral or Boom Boom as an eXtra for Deadpool 3 or X-Force.

Was just about to point out Badlands, but yeah, he had a great introduction last week.
