Johnny Depp is your go-to guy right now if you have a role that requires quirk, yet depth. You know Depp will put 150% into the role, even if it's a supporting thing. I am curious to see how he plays off Jolie in that Tourist flick.

Considering this is a Disney movie and thus likely to lean more towards 'fun action/adventure' than 'grimdark revenge tale' I think Clooney is a really good pick. Hugh Jackman is another idea I don't hate.

Jackman would be sick. He could have made a great Robin Hood too. Jackman and Depp together could be a great combination.

What about Eric Bana? He could be excellent in the role! Another choice, which might be a bit of a "dark horse" but could just work, is Michael Fassbender. Jackman and Hamm are also good.

Now, as for the tone and look of the film, I would very much like to see The Lone Ranger done like either "Tombstone" or Leone's "For A Few Dollars More". They should definately use the Dynamite comic series as a blueprint.

First Angelina Jolie, now Johnny Depp wants Brad Pitt!

Speaking for the first time about his new movie 'The Lone Ranger,' the actor tells ET that he has already signed on to play Tonto. Now they're looking for a leading man to play the title character -- and he has a few ideas who the casting director should call in!

"There's so many interesting possibilities out there," he tells ET. "Brad [Pitt] would be great. [George] Clooney would be great. Don't know who it's going to be just yet."

Johnny, whose maternal grandfather is Cherokee, wants to portray Native American Indians in a different light than traditional Hollywood films. "Native Americans in cinema, over the past however many decades, have been treated somewhat shabbily," he says to put it mildly. "This one has plans to rectify that."

Assuming Disney does in fact want somebody who wouldn't be overshadowed by Depp. Russell Crowe, maybe? Who else is there?
