I confess that I fail to see how two homosexual posters suggesting that another is gay would be a veiled insult.

Hypothetically speaking of course, because I haven't been following along myself... wouldn't even know what thread he's referring to in the first place. It just seems an odd accusation for mine.

Aye mate, you are a cop right? Well, let me give you a little lesson in getting your facts right, i will give you the benefit of the doubt that you are not twisting them.
I did not say they were giving me a 'veiled insult', I only used that term when I was talking to 'super scar', a guy who comes on the boards and does make veiled insults all the time, that was a different thing i was refering to, in a different post.

The only context I made out from this post of what could be "that" veiled insult crap, was the opening paragraph. You didn't refer to anything else for "that" to be a clear enough word to use in the context. "Super Scar" was never mentioned in any way shape or form that I could see in the post, and as I mentioned (and provided a disclaimer for) I haven't exactly been following on.

So yes, you're right to give me the benefit of the doubt in not trying to twist the facts. I'm just trying to make sense of what is in front of me.

And for the record I'm not a cop either; I work for the police, but I'm not a sworn officer.

Ok man, I sincerely apologise for that, I didn't recall using it there in that post, but i was talking more in general there, about things that have went on in this forum, veiled insults etc. It is still insulting when people try to make out you are something you are not to try and hurt you and other people though, there is nowt wrong with being homosexual, but there is something wrong with people spreading lies about you with malicious intent. i have spoken on the subject of sexuality before in the Gay hypsters thread, maturely and honestly.
Again, sorry about that, i can see why you would have brought that up, and i am glad you did as I would not want to be seen to be homophobic or anything like that.

I have honestly always thought you were a nice guy, i'm not just saying that. I have never quite known if you thought i was ok or not, but that does not matter, i can still like people even if they dislike me(i am not asking you if you like me, i am not asking you to the break dancing rubix cube dance or anything). But i was disapointed with what some people were attempting to do last night and this morning, i was naive in thinking there could have been peace in the valley on this matter, but i guess not. We will not all get on, but we don't have to be at war with each other all the time, we are all on the same side ultimately, we all want the forum to be a good place.

'Tis fine. Was just pointing out that it didn't seem to make sense for people who hadn't been following on closely. Not that you weren't making sense overall, just what was said here in isolation.

There is indeed something wrong with spreading lies about someone with malicious intent and I've been on boards which have had to remove content as a precaution to protect the owner of the site from libel law-suits.

People get behind keyboards and think that they're no longer responsible for their own actions... the big laws tend to stay the same...
