The Marvel/DC "3 vs. 3" Battle thread

It's not really a bad match up if you think about it...The DC guys constantly face super powered enemies anyways right?

Not gonna post as a separate match or anything, but would it have changed anyone's mind if this had been the older crew of Batman (Wayne), Nightwing, and Robin (Tim)?

Just curious.

Also, how long do we want to wait between new rounds? I was thinking a few days but I'm open to suggestions.

Bruce, Dick and Tim may have a better chance, but I still think Spider-Man would be able to take them on his own (since I'm one of the few who remember how he kicked the X-Men's collective asses in the Secret Wars and he's generally gotten better from then). Add in Matt and Logan, this is a lock for Marvel.

See, I agree with ya, but on all the other boards I've been on people always argue that Batman would have a chance against Spider-Man, so I'm surprised not a single person has argued that here. But yeah, I agree.

Okay, I'll strive for roughly 24hrs-ish, but to be honest with my schedule every 48hrs is more likely. I'll just do the best I can.

That having been said: Team Marvel took this one with a unanimous vote!

Next up:Let's go from street level to more of a cosmic level and a Green Lantern theme! Three green lanterns (You can pick whatever 3 out of that 4 pictured that you like)

Nova (had a GL-like origin and is a space cop), Quasar (GL-like powers) and Ronan the Accuser (because.... he's green.... that's all I could think of )

Marvel mainly because of Quasar and Nova. I think Ronan (bad-ass that he is) is outclassed here.

I'm interested in why people are choosing Marvel here. I don't actually have a lot of knowledge of Ronan at all, and who would overpower who is iffy to me too.

I guess to me the GL's have the advantage. They've got the experience working as a team. Quasar's powers are similar to a GL's, except the GLs seem to be able to make more complex creations. I think one GL would eventually overtake him. So that leaves me wondering whether two GLs could overpower Nova and Ronan.

Thoughts?

Despite the fact that the "best" of them won't be using anything more complex than a giant boxing glove...

I'll take the Marvel trio for diversity, although the teamwork of the three Lanterns from Earth will be formidable (and their best asset).

Depends on which version of Scarlet Witch we're talking about...

At best the Marvel trio takes this one out (but we've established it's not at her best), but at regular level Z would cream her and hobble Sentry, (since you can trust Bats to bare-minimum hold his own against Spector - despite being the better fighter the carbonadium armour Moon Knight's currently in is ridiculously durable...).

So yeah. Wanda's the questionmark in this one.

I give it to DC. I'm ignoring everything Bendis did to Wanda, and that keeps her powers more defined as probability control (which is powerful enough).

I like these matchups =)
Superman would take out the Sentry pretty easily since Superman has a wider variety of super powers and he's not crazy.
Batman would probably have a few issues with Moon Knight but again Moon Knight is crazy so I don't think he'll have as many contingency plans as Batman.
Zatanna has a pretty wide variety of powers with her spells but that is pretty different compared to Wanda's "magic" abilities...I'm not even really sure what Wanda's powers are so I'm voting for DC for now

Okay, it's been about 24hrs so this round's up.

I'm throwing my vote behind team DC as well. I'm a huge Sentry fan(hence the avatar) but he's potentially quickly taken out, at least temporarily, by Zatanna. And I think Superman could buy her the time she needs to do it.

DC by a hair for me.

So DC wins this one 4-1 (Hound, you didn't really give a definite vote either way that I could tell).
