Wow. She's beautiful. I don't know about her acting chops though.

This is what I have been saying for the past I don't even know how long...Kat McNamara is perfect as MJ I mean just look at her for Christ sake but acting chops wise who knows? I mean she could surprise us I mean Tom did when he was cast and no one knew who he was hardly

It's fun to fancast but at the end of the day I trust Marvel to cast the right actress as MJ.

The thing is, doesn't Sony has the last word on the casting ? I know Marvel is on charge of all the creative decisions but someone mentioned here that there were 2 finalists, Sony wanted Plummer but Marvel wanted Holland and Holland was picked (since it was for Civil War).
Which makes me think that Marvel can pick several of actresses but Sony will have the last word.

Can we get back to the actual topic at hand? That being the casting of MJ but all of that aside Marvel I am sure they will have the last word casting wise because they did when they casted Spidey now didn't they? So who is to say that it would be so different with MJ?

Now having seen Civil War and seeing what Tom Holland actually looks like as Peter and his mannerisms as a kid and all, almost all these actresses look way too old opposite Tom. Especially Katherine McNamara! Not to mention for real guys her acting is super bad and cringy, watch Shadowhunters or Girl VS Monster. Lol her acting is laughable. She would ruin MJ for me. :|

From all those choices only Odeya Rush makes sense. Both age and acting wise. But we are likely to get unknown actress.

Just because she looks the part doesn't make her the perfect choice. And although she's the same age as Tom, she looks 5 years older than him and that will definitely work against her. And no, she's not a good actress.

Scott looks slightly older than Tom but those cheeks save her. Still my #1. Rush is perfect age wise opposite Tom and height too! But yeah she doesn't look like MJ much.

I did want Liana Liberato as #3 but she looks like college age, so

Michelle could be code for Mary Jane. They might be keeping it secret if they're going with the Aunt May trying to pair up Peter/MJ thing. Ya know, her character showing up towards the end or something "Face it, Tiger. You just hit the jackpot"
