Neo was made out to be the messiah in the first film but ultimately the message was empowerment for the individual. That message was reversed in the Matrix Revolution.

Instead of Rage Against the Machine it became "resistance is futile".

I liked Reloaded. It had some nice setup. Revolutions dropped the ball, though.

I wouldn't buy a movie I don't enjoy.

I like all 3 myself, but obviously the first movie is the best, and personally I like Revolutions more than Reloaded.

I endorse this article. Matrix Reloaded is good, there are two good matrix movies, not one.

As I burn my clove cigarette on your hand and my assistant holds you down, while you take a beating (from zombie Andre the Giant).. Look at my red hands and my mean face... and I wonder 'bout those bros that's gone so wrong. I try to erase the sequels from ever existing, I wonder about the The beginning of the end.

There would be no cult following to this film, no bookcoffe table photographs of this film would be sold in sundries stores, no people would crowd the streets in the rain to see this film reappear in special screening or 25th year anniversaries, no biographies would be written about the Wachowski bros, no children named after them, no one would ever pay twenty-five cents to stand in the rooms they grew up in. The guns would shoot out , and Neo would indeed stop them in a cool way, but his hollow character once human and worth caring for would only lay on the floor and look at the ceiling, the light going out of his eyes before he could find the right words. Whoa.

When reloaded was first released, these forums were all about discussion of this and that and theories and what not. Hardly anyone knew it was destined to be hated as such.
I suppose time has that effect. That and an underwhelming immediate sequel.
