Sounds like this film has everything! So judging by early reactions…
The film is awesome and thought provoking, but also mediocre and a rehash of what we’ve seen before that brings nothing new to the series. The action is jaw-droppingly awesome but also bland and fake. People will love the film, but also hate it to the point where it will make the polarization of the DCEU look like a polite argument about whether pineapple is a good pizza topping.
Sounds like a Matrix sequel!
Might explain my warm reception to Space Jam 2.I'm wondering if a lot of general audience feedback will be more positive if they opt to watch it on HBO Max. It's a lot easier to hate on something you don't like if you left your home and paid $20+ for tickets and snacks to see it as opposed to just staying in the comfort of your living room, but that's just me.

Soundtrack is out
Unfortunately, the good stuff here seems to be very scarce and the ones that stick out are mostly the Don Davis re-used themes.
The rest that Klimek and Tykwer wrote, sounds like generic Junkie XL sounds that many blockbusters nowadays have.
I will need to hear it within the context of the film, but currently not blown away how i was from Davis' phenomenal scores.

Well, with Omicron tearing its way through the U.S., it looks like this thing is going to be seeing more action on HBO Max than in theaters anyway. What a stupid release strategy that was. So ridiculous and stupid.

It varies. I've rooted for plenty of movies in the past before seeing them in theaters and still came out disappointed.Really? I think the opposite would be true. If you’re paying for it, you’re rooting for it more. You wouldn’t go to that effort if you weren’t already invested in some capacity. At home there’s lots of hate watching and distractions going on. People are more prone to pay less attention and give less of a chance to just turn to something else if they lose interest.
But maybe you're right. At home you're less invested so maybe less critical.
