I was inspired to make this thread courtesy of Octoberist's post in the Green Man thread. So chat away.

Indeed he will,I hope G'nort and the squirrel GL don't end up in the movie, being one of the many GL's making a brief appearance in it. And Kilowog not calling Hal a poozer would be a missed opportunity.

Silver Knight is like..the biggest Green Man fan on Earth it seems.

Ch'p would be wise to use for marketing to younger kids... merchandising, merchandising, merchandising!

and i don't know why. because he has spots?

Because he looks cool.

Are you trying to engage me in a troll war?

If many people are like you, Silver Knight, then Green Man could be the Boba Fett of the Green Lantern franchise.

I'd rather want to see the Elvis-impersonator Lantern in Recharge than Green Man.

I say that because I remember back in 1977 seeing Star Wars. I barely noticed the character and the next thing you know there were trading cards, fans who supported and wanted to see more of him. That could possibly happen with one of the members of the Corps (not necessarily Green Man), but I don't know which one.

of all of the characters, Green Man? It depends on the role of the alien character.

I can see it with the other characters, yes. But the Boba Fett is the quite mysterious masked (or unmasked) character. People love stuff like that.

I hope that Bzzd has the body size of a little kid and a huge head in the movie.
:woot:

Imagine if little kids dressed up as him for Halloween if he got that popular. :awesome:

Fett didn't show up until the Holiday Special.

There will be 25 classic alien Green Lanterns from the comics in major and minor roles. We are already aware of:

Abin Sur.
Thaal Sinestro.
Kilowog.
Tomar-Re.
Salaak.
Boodikka.
Green Man.
Stel.
Bzzd.
Mogo.
And a original character created by Marc Guggenhein and Ivan Reis.

I believe Warner is trying to avoid humanoid characters like Vath Sarn and Sodam Yat, which still leaves open doors for Arisia Rhab, Arkis Chummuck, Ke'Hann (Who actually showed up in the first draft), Laira, Hannu, Graf Toren, Sareek, Isamot Kol, Brikk and (maybe) Ash.

C'hip, Ke'hann, Laira, Hannu, Graf Toren, Sareek, Ash, Brikk, Vath Sarn and Isamot Kol have good chances of showing up too, I believe.

When were these guys confirmed? I bet it was today. I like Chummuck's oath.

I believe Comic-Con. Mark them as a "maybe", tough.

Ohhhh, question,is Strong on the money about most of the movie taking place in space? I ask this since you read the latest draft?!

I haven't read the latest draft, but yeah, he's on the money. According to Martin Campbell himself, there is:

. The initial trip to Oa.
. The training sessions under Kilowog and Sinestro's guidance (Anti-gravity training platforms FTW! :awesome:)
. The ending, which also takes place in Oa.

45% of the movie, I'd say.

Here's a detailed breakdown I did last week:
