This is what really gets me. We're all here to enjoy films based on comics & make believe characters & super powered beings. I totally don't get people who constantly whine about specific characters being on a movie solely because said character/s are deemed "unrealistic" or too outlandish to be able "to work" in the "real world". Hello??? It's a damn movie based on a comicbook.

It comes down this (and this will piss off most of the posters in there).....

DC -We can't use a walking talking shark in our movie, that is too stupid and unrealistic...no one will accept that.

Marvel - Hey look....we have a machine gun shooting racoon and a walking tree in our movie!!!!

I was reading the trivia section of Superman III over at imdb.com , & was shocked to learn that earlier scripts had Dudley Moore as Mister Mxyzptlk & Brainiac as the villains for that Superman film . I just wonder how that movie would've turned out if they had gone through with it.

Groot and Rocket are awesome. I just think if it weren't for Marvel being ballsy...GotG may not have worked the way it did. cause they believe they can make it work.

DC...i cant say the same...I want to but I haven't seen enough yet to get a feel of their accomplishment they barely have so far in creating a universe similar to Marvel...

Some folks say DC movies don't need levity, that is pure Marvel's "joke every two minutes" style.
Ok, I'm confused, did they watch movies like 13 Years a Slave? That movie with its serious tone and atmosphere has well placed moments of levity.
The first Die Hard has moments of levity in its serious tone and situation.
And as someone mentioned and you agreed with in the Suicide Squad forums; trailer of SS feels like a Tarantino movie, those have plenty of levity to them.

Do they want DC movies to be more like Space Odyssey? Zero moments to make you crack a smile out of what seems like a humorous moment?

The DC boards are a lot busier in terms of traffic than the Marvel boards. A lot of clashing opinions and weird people.
