Once it was Dodgers v Yanks, the ratings were a foregone conclusion. This will probably be just about it for me on this thread, but, having watched the Dodgers all year, my take is that this is a very tough, disciplined team from 1-9. Sure, Ohtani gets most of the headlines and rightfully so, the guy just absolutely killed it this year, but when you go down their lineup, you get the superstars like Freeman and Betts, an all star like Will Smith, a guy like Teoscar Hernandez who hit 30 some odd HRs, and people like Muncy, Kike, Rojas, Edman, Pages, Lux, and Taylor who, even if they didn't get a hit, made pitchers work and caused pitchers to grind, and wear down, inning by inning. Over 9 innings, they generally just got to you. Their bullpen, while I thought they were very good, completely over performed what anyone could have imagined and made up for all of those injuries to their starters.
Some years, things fall right for you and given all the injuries to the starting pitching, everything else fell into place for the Dodgers.
