The most ridiculous request ever

My mother, a few minutes ago:

"Could you take your niece christmas shopping real quick? She never got a chance to go..."

I've had the entire month of December off from work...but she "never had the chance" to go shopping before Christmas @#$% Eve??!!!

Bah humbug.

My dad pulled that on me today.
He made me go do HIS christmas shopping, when I've been home all week on break.
I almost got in a fight, hit by a crazy asian woman running a red light, and wanted to strangle so many slow moving people it wasn't even funny. When I go out to shop, I go out with intent and know what I need to get. I don't have time for people who wander around mindlessly at a snails pace.
