I didn't know she was considering leaving. Surprising to me since I never saw any indication of it.

Now the questions of how she exits and who replaces her begin. The way they are wording it, she won't be leaving in a body bag so it keeps the possibility of guest starring in the future. I'm also wondering if someone we've seen before will step in to replace her or if it will be a completely new character. I'm assuming the latter.

It'll likely be a younger female, probably with some military experience. I hope they just don't force any kind of relationship with Tony though since it has been done with with both Ziva and Kate.

The show has not evolved as well as the LA version over the last couple of seasons and this is a huge blow as Ziva was my favourite character.

Indeed. NCIS has really started showing its age with tired, unimaginative storytelling. At this point, L.A. feels like the better show as it still feels fresh and exciting.

Hard as it is for me to admit it, I think this is the end for me and NCIS: Original. Over time, I've lost interest in it; so much so that up until now, I've not even watched the finale - having missed its original airing - nor have I been motivated to find it.

We'll see if the new rookie brings something new to the table.

The thing was they got new writers for season 11 and after season 10 everything was looking very promising.

Its been said that CBS didnt wanted to give her the same money as the other actors, which is not okay.
Because of her performance ncis got the highest rating ever,she deserves at least the same amount as the other.

I still hope they try to negotiat soon, the character and the actress deserve more.

I didn't know there was a contract dispute or that CBS was being stingy which does not surprise me. They pull that stunt all the time on actors. I remember a few years back when C.S.I. was still hot the two Georges (Eads, Fox) both were playing chicken for more money threatening not to come into work and they actually fired Jorja briefly when she failed to before that whole mess concluded.

Of course CBS is not alone in the contract disputes and offering less to de Pablo sounds like a cheap move. I assume it is because she's been on the series for less time than the others was their excuse?

Oh wow, Ziva is leaving. Now I might go back to watching the show again. I didn't hate her, but I thought she brought the show down somewhat, it seemed most of the focus was on her, at the expense of the other characters.

Lets hope they increase McGee's time and have be an equal with Tony now, and not a probie.

I´ll admit that I was getting a little bit tired of all the Ziva drama, so it will be interesting to see how the writers adapt to not having her and her past as the go to source of plotlines.

The new probie will be a well to draw from for at least half the season.

I really hate to see her go. I do think she was becoming the center of attention too often though. I would love to see McGee get noticed more and I am interested to see who replaces Ziva.

I like Ziva. She really plays off well with DiNozzo. I hope she doesnt leave.

Btw, was the actor playing McGee sick during the seasons he was really skinny or did he just lose the weight via diet/exercise?

Naw, he was eating less processed food. Picked up the habit while vacationing in Europe.

Cote really pulled a fast one on the show runners. They were expecting her to return and she isn't so now they have to quickly rewrite large parts of their planned storyline to accomodate her absence. At least they sound confident they can do it.
