‘The New Edition Story’ – Original Soundtrack | Available March 17th

Geffen will release the original soundtrack to the ratings blockbuster “The New Edition Story.”


The digital soundtrack will be released on March 17th. Music from the 3-night miniseries will be included, by cast members Luke James, Bryshere Gray, Elijah Kelly, Woody McClain, Keith Powers, and Algee Smith. An official tracklist has not yet been released.

Geffen has also re-released the group’s classic MCA Records catalog, New Edition (1984), All for Love (1985), Heart Break (1988) and the reunion album Home Again (1996), as well as Bobby Brown’s Don’t Be Cruel (1988), Bell Biv DeVoe’s Poison (1990) and 1990 solo albums by members Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant, are available on digital providers like iTunes and Spotify, remastered and featuring a lot of added bonus tracks.​

Bobby Brown Biopic To Air On BET

Fresh off the the ratings success of its New Edition entry, BET has picked up a miniseries focusing on Bobby Brown. Titled, The Bobby Brown Story, the team behind The New Edition Story will bring this new project to the network.


Bobby and wife Alicia Etheredge



The two-night, four-hour biopic will span Brown’s career as a founding member of New Edition to a successful solo run. The biopic will be written by Abdul Williams (The New Edition Story) and executive produced by Jesse Collins (The New Edition Story) for JCE Films, a division of Jesse Collins Entertainment.
