I don't know about Demon Bear if Karma is not even included in the story.

Huh? Why would you even say that? Karma was killed off rather early in the series. She was "dead" in the books when the demon bear story was introduced. That happened circa NM 19ish and Karma didnt return till after issue 30. Was that a typo and you meant Moonstar bc Karma had nothing to do with the story and is not integral to it as a result

If this movie comes out in 2018... Alexandra Shipp will be closing in on 30. She won't look the same age.

She turns 25 this July. Boone has two movies to shoot before NM. She'll be 26 during shooting IF it shoots in 2017.

If the movie comes out in July 2018 she'll b 27 that's pushing 30. If it releases in 2018 then she'd be 28. I think she'll be Storm till she's at least Halle's current age so I'm glad

My point is she will not look the same age as Anya or Maise.

If the movie comes out July 2018, that will be before she turns 27. Like I said, she'll be 25-26 during taping. Mid 20s is not closing in on 30s. You made it sound like she'd be 28, 29ish.

It does seem kinda of odd to do a movie focusing on new recruits being trained as the next X-Men when we are just seeing Storm, Jean, Nightcrawler and Scott becoming the fully-costumed X-Men --- and Storm won't even join the team until the end of X-Men: Apocalypse.

The timing/chronology doesn't feel quite right to me. I wonder if they have thought it through (probably not!).

Maybe you're thinking of Mirage (who went by Psyche back then) - Daniel Moonstar, who possessed the power of projecting images of your greatest desire/worst fear.

If you mean the latter, why don't you think Dani will appear in this movie?

I don't see why they would.
They're using the telekinetic version of Psylocke in a movie that also reintroduces Jean Grey.

IMO, Karma was always a side character in the comics New Mutants. She was created to be first casualty and wasnt for a good chunk of the early years and when the team really got going. When they finally brought her back she didnt really do much besides worry about her siblings. I dont think she's really that integral. They could easily get away without having her

Karma also has yet to make an appearance outside of the comics. I don't remember seeing her in videogames and cartoons. I guess the producers just don't find her appealing enough. While I have seen Cannonball, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Magma and Magik outside of the comics.

I think the fact she said she can't talk about it says more than anything else.
She's aware of the project, knows it's about Marvel characters and even who's directing.
She's definitely been approached.

Josh Boone shared the story on his twitter as well, that, along with what Endeavor said, means I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen, if it hasn't already been signed and Fox are just denying it until they want to release it

Boone RT'ing this story is rather encouraging. Like many of us suspected, they're probably just waiting for things to finalize/time to announce. This also probably means Anya Taylor-Joy is also in the same boat, which would be an amazing start to the New Mutants cast. Perhaps an announcement around SDCC?
