Are Dinah and Ollie still acting like they have marital troubles, despite still being newlyweds with no prior indication that they were having any troubles?

probably... they should have tomasi write this book... i bet hed make it awesome, and fix connor

You know, I'd rather the second feature in this title be about Connor's journey of self re-discovery or Mia's adventures in the UK. I'd also prefer a different writer on this title. And if Cliff Chiang could come back to do art, that would be awesome.

Is Connor still in a coma?
No, he woke up with about half of his memories, all of his martial arts skills, and none of his archery skills. He's also eating meat and doesn't remember being a Buddhist (damnit, Winick!). He just left one day to go find himself or something.

Next time I answer a question with such a horrible answer, I'll be sure to give a Wallbanger Warning.

id buy it for the back up if it was tomasi fixing connor

i havent been reading cry for justice (which so many here have been criticizing), but i can only imagine it reads like shakespeare in comparison to the regular JLA title.

Is Green Arrow supposed to be Batman's best friend in the JLA?

holy crap i made that post in the wrong thread.

so, on topic....yeah, the GA/BC title has been fairly forgettable.

Is Green Arrow supposed to be Batman's best friend in the JLA?
Um, nope. Where'd you get that idea?

Superman is generally depicted as Batman's best friend. GA and Batman have (had?) a like-hate relationship more than anything else.

Green Arrow's best friend is Green Lantern (specifically, Hal Jordan).

Hal is often torn between Barry and Ollie. Barry is the safe, clean boyfriend you can bring home to dad's burning experimental jet wreckage. Ollie is the bad boy that has such a bad influence on him but incites such passions as well.

Ollie and Hal have one of those "opposites attract" friendships. The working class fastidious conservative former Air Force pilot turned space cop, and the hard left anti-authority liberal rich boy. United by their love justice, the color green, and screwing everything on two legs (though I'm sure they'd do an amputee as well. They don't discriminate).

Hal does. He hates black folks through indifference, remember?

That old man is spot on there. I mean there's no way that in all of the times that Hal has saved Earth in its entirety, or even a city on Earth, that some of the people who lived to see another day were black

Yeah, it's funny how what was once an edgy depiction of racism in superhero comics has become a silly plot point over the years.

It is true though. He saved a city, but before the camera crews could come in and congratulate him, he'd go drop a building on some black people.

Anyway - back to GA... I liked the original idea for the direction of this book after they got married; making it about them getting to grips with working together as crimefighters while dealing with getting through their first year of marriage. But now it just seems to be that Dinah's living with Ollie, married or not, is cause for questioning one another's crime fighting techniques and attitudes. Its just nipping at one another for the sake of it in an attempt to demonstrate marital tension.

And to do it they've just created an attitude adjustment for Ollie

Last issue was not that good again.
Big Game was exactly what he is destined to be : a big astonishingly big loser. The whole issue was just a car chase (not that good) and Speedy coming back ... and oh yes Ollie, again, with "I do not feel right" thing. Pfff.
Anyway I enjoy Cupids vivacity and energy, that is refreshing, but it is the only thing really exciting about the book. I think the art keeps improving, but come on, the writer has erased all the stupid ridiculous bad guy of Green Arrow, couldn't he make something out of it ? And Dinah, who was one of my favorite character not so long ago, ..... is wasted here, IMO. writing two great characters may certainly be more difficult than I, reader, thought. :(

What in the name of hell was the point in even having that second feature this month?

so i love green arrow a lot, but this book has sucked for quite a while now. and i just noticed that the cover price is a ridiculous $3.99. i may have to drop the title.
