It actually IS Sony. Note that all the movies that say "unavailable on XBOX" are Columbia Pictures (Sony) movies.

It's either a licensing thing, or some kind of problem that will be fixed... I blame Sony either way. Who knows.

the problem actually is sony. some of their movies that they own through colombia havent been licensed for Xbox yet.

It sounds like the update didn't take for whatever reason. It's theoretically possible to fix, if you can reflash things and downgrade to an earlier version of the system software, but since most people don't have that stuff, chances are they want it sent in where they have said tools.

You could try the following:


And if you get it to that point, clear the cache:
(it'll get rid of installed game updates, but theoretically reset things back to a point where you can try again)

Silly. At least they're still available via PC, so Sony hasn't pulled out of Netflix completely or anything.

they probably wont. it'll just take some time to get their movies licensed for 360.

Also, i was reading in the latest issue of the Game Informer that all the new features won't be available until Spring of '09- so i don't know if that includes total access to the entire Netflix movie catalog, or the licensing issues with movie production companies. I know i'm not so quick to just start downloading ANYTHING until the immediate bugging issues are dealt with within the first few weeks. If it's working well for others- GREAT, but i'll be the patient tortoise on this one. LOL!

Thats excatly what it is. Joystiq ran an article on it and had a quote from one of the Netflix managers or something of the like that stated due to some license problems not all movies(mainly Sony Pictures and its companies) wouldnt work with the 360 right away, but they hope to resolve it at some point.

Well when you change ur theme, if the theme supports it, those little areas will change. For instance i have a Gears 2 theme thats supported by the NXE and all of my friends are standing in areas that are from Gears of War 2.

about 8 gigs left so i dont think it was that...its is SO annoying i was loving fallout 3, was proper into it!!! now no 360 for like 3 weeks at least im getting some plug n play kits from it as compensation (after having a huuuuge rant at them)
