The next Megaman game?

I guess Im in the minority, bc I didnt find MM9 fun. I felt it was stripped down and the gameplay took a step backwards. Plus they amped the difficulty up to a point where it was more frustrating than anything

I'm not gonna lie I'd prefer that they do it like they did Mega Man 8. With the robot masters saying something before you fight them. This actually gave them personalities.

If they repeated the Megaman 8 formula for Megaman 9 and 10, I'd happily get these games. Megaman 8 was damn fun and well made.
Megaman 7 for SNES was also really great and I don't believe it would be expensive to repeate that engine.
They didn't need to take the series so backwards like they did.

Yea they did, as they were best back then.

MM7 and MM8 were my least favorite of the original series.

They could have updated the formula and made a much more stylised and fun game that still retained the retro quality of the old Mega Man games in the vein of Space Invaders Extreme and Pac-Man Championship Edition.

Also, Mega Man X is better the classic series in pretty much every way imaginable.

I love the MMX series (up to X4) but I'm still a much bigger fan of Mega Man classic series.

While they could have done some graphical updating...I understood why they wanted to go the route they did. Can't say I was upset about it, as I absolutely loved MM9 and cannot wait to get MM10.

I never liked the classic games, so I'm not really upset with the direction they've taken. I'm just irritated in the style they used.

I mean...if you want to get an idea of what I think a modern "classic" Mega Man should look like then check out the Xbox Live Indie game "Arkedo Series 001 JUMP!". It's obviously a tribute to 8-bit games, but it has a really cool style.

As expected the game is also coming to XBL and PSN. I dont get why they announced it only for the Wii first. They did the same thing for MM9

Yea, it was a given. But it's not that they really announced it only for Wii first. They just gave NP the first exclusive on it like they did with MM9.

The experience is definitely more fun on Wii though. The Wii Remote works so so well as a makeshift NES controller...the only way to play a classic MM game.


I would get it for my 360 also...but that d-pad is so so horrible.

Looking forward to the game, took me a while to really get into MM9, but it was a good old fashioned NES game, which I think works really well with all the other NES games I have on the Wii.
