Talion making the Spider-Man thread all about him again, yay.

No, it's about Spider-Man. Not Dylan O'Brien or any other actor that hasn't closed the deal to play his role. Spider-Man. That's what we should be focusing here, and that's what I always try to do.

I don't think it pays off in the long run. Yes he's getting attention, but their fans are also annoying the hell out of lot of people - once again, not talking necessarily here, there are places it's a lot worse - and I just think that it would work wonders for his image if he endorsed literally ANYONE for the role so this non-sense would stop or at least calm down. Because seriously, I just can't see myself watching any films with this actor in it, and while I know that's not his fault, I just can't. It's pretty much the same with Robert Pattinson.
He's being talked about on some fan boards and YouTube, but most every recent article I've seen lists him as a former contender if they mention him at all. You're assuming the "nonsense" would stop if he endorsed someone else. I'm assuming that people who want him in the role will still be talking about him and any further statements from him might just generate even more discussion.

It's okay if you don't ever watch any of his films, I'm sure you're not alone in that.

The sad thing is you probably actually believe that. You derail this thread pretty much every single day with your diatribe about your "sources" and trying to shut down every poster on this board who doesn't believe your theory's. But by all means, tell us for the 5000th time about your "sources".

Robert Pattinson is a cool dude. Mostly because he never shied away from how much he hated Twilight. I feel bad that he's going to be associated with that role for a long time

And while endorsing someone else would certainly get this to all calm down. I think it would be really odd. Has that ever really happened before?

I was just trying to be useful for the board with what I can. After the short list, I'm done, if you haven't notice. The way I see it, you are the one antagonizing me, not the other way around. I'm talking about Spider-Man and the actual casting situation. You're the one talking about me, and I'm late to work and this conversation/confrontation is useless. Gotta bolt.

but do think Sneider is right about them casting an 17-20 and think the five actors that he mentioned are very strong candidates.
How the heck should I know? I have no idea who Sneider is....and don't care. I have speculated from time to time about what actor may be cast in some role, but have never obsessed over it. I never bother to hunt down internet "scoopers" so that I can follow their "inside information".

I knew about the Nat Wolff thing 14 days ago. No one here knew then, I was lucky that I've got confirmed by Sneider and other sources. I've proved how I knew it for some reliable members of the board. Sneider is legit, and he's been doing this kind of thing - and getting it right - for years now.
You must feel proud about that. Did you mark it on the calendar?

95% legit.

That's understandable. I just want everyone to know he is a respected scooper and he has gotten a lot of things right in the past. more right than wrong and I don't think people should just completely dis everything he says.

Note taken.
I think he has shown in this article that he wont state the list is official because he doesn't know for sure that it is, and therefore does not want to say something that isn't true again. :)

Unless he is a relative of yours....at the end of the day does it really matter? There are millions of internet scoopers out there....if you choose to believe what one says, it's ok, that's your prerogative.....but why spend all your time trying to convince others to believe in them? Is it really that important to you, that people on the internet agree with you that some other guy on the internet is right about his "scoops"?

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter, we're all here; we're all fans for one character and that is Spider-Man. I'm just defending him from being called a "bogus scooper" or a "fraud" because that simply isn't true. out all the reporters, he's the one reporting about Spider-Man and I'm thirsty for any little droplet of information I can get. :) we shouldn't take it for granted, ya' know.

RL is stating how Spidey will be need on the CW set by June, so to expect something by then.

I love these vague claims.

Sneider, El Mayimbe, and others are indeed credible. But I'd lying if I said their personal feelings and professional well being didn't often lead to twist the facts when it benefits them.

That said, what the have to say or report doesn't matter. At the end of the day, what the studios has to say is what matters.

I'd respect them more if they didn't toot their own horns so much. Posting links to past tweets and whatnot, beating their chests. I would have a lot more respect if they just said what they had to say and move on. The, "I told you so" thing is childish. It just shows how much they're doing it for the praise and followers. #ApexScoopPredator

I'm just a fan. I've just been extremely lucky. Have you heard one of the contenders named Timmy Chalamet? I was the one that get the scoopers in the right track. It turned out I was right and he's in the mix, and then the things started to unravel.

But it's okay if you don't want to believe me. I'm just saying what I've experienced. I can understand how many times you've heard bogus claims like this, but I do have how to prove it.

Sneider is a hack and has got plenty wrong in the past. His supposed shortlist is more of a wishlist. He may have got a few names right but he is also covering himself by talking of other mysterious names. So now you are giving the scoopers information?

Would you like to rank the following, from 1-5? Zeros are allowed too.

Lucas Hedges, Jacob Lofland, Robbie Kay, Bill Milner, Aramis Knight, Gavin Casalegno, Thomas Horn, Dakota Goyo, Max Records, Josh Hutcherson, Skandar Keynes, Ellar Coltrane, Nathan Gamble, Chris Massoglia, Chandler Canterbury, Cameron Bright, Jake T Austin, Joel Courtney, Zach Mills, Nick Robinson and Charlie Rowe?

Doesn't matter if none of them will ever get the chance to play Spider-Man.

But I think a bunch of them have read for the part. It would be strange if not. What do you think?

His past scoops.

I was hoping you would be more specific. If you go back and look at, say, LatinoReview as a whole, they get some things right and they get some things wrong; they're about 50 - 60% accurate. Considering that there are far more ways to be wrong (infinite) than there are ways to be right (just one), this is actually pretty good. If Jeff Sneider is a 50 - 60% sort of scooper, I'd say this makes him at least someone to consider, and especially when he's being corroborated by other people who have a track record.

Do you know how accurate Jeff Sneider is overall, or are you just basing this off of, "Well, I remember some times he's been right before," without considering how often he's right and how often he's wrong? Because it seems like you're doing the latter. If you're doing the former, can you share?

Where did he say that?
Dylan O'Brien Is Spider-Man by redditleaker23456 in Spiderman[–]redditleaker23456[S] 1 point 21 minutes ago*
"I'm going off of what's official this time, not off of what I know, just speculating like you guys. The announcement dates I gave you all got screwed - for whatever reason - don't know, sorry about that. The character will be needed on set in June, I say with certainty that if we don't hear anything at the end of this month or May, we're going to hear something in June. Like I said, it's pretty much set in stone. And it's my solid belief, with good reason, that we'll get something by then."

He clarified himself that he's spcualting like us and going off of what is official. How is that vague?

Anyone who believes redditleaker's crap is blind.

The guy constantly contradicts himself. I can't remember how many times he's said "we should be getting the announcement in the next week or two" and the "#dylanforspidey"s keep believing him because they're going to off themselves if he isn't Spidey.

Once an actual legit source comes out and says filming for Spider-Man's Civil War scenes doesn't start until June, he acts like he's known this the whole time and brings it up in everything, even having the balls to repeat "we should be seeing an announcement around June time". Some of the movie ideas he makes up are strange. Even though Feige has said they want a 15-16 year old Spider-Man, he said they're looking at the idea of Agent Venom making an appearance in future films. Is Flash going to join the army at 15, become a war veteran worthy enough to be given the symbiote, and become a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, all while being a high school jock? Seems legit. Once Marvel said they're looking for a 15-16 year old Spider-Man, redditleaker said the movies will be inspired by the Ultimate comics. You know, the ones with a 15-16 year old Spidey.

How does a guy who spends all day posting on Reddit have a high-enough position in Sony or Marvel or wherever he believes to be working for for him to know the basic story outlines for the 2017 Spider-Man solo film? The guy's making at least two posts per hour, how does he even have a job? Is redditleaker Kevin Feige himself? :wow:

The guy is a complete con artist. I know you want Dylan, but this guy's a grade A bull*****ter. Besides, he's a Redditor. There's already a 95% chance he's lying.

I've been in contact with some of these people that work in the movie business for some weeks, and I'd beg to differ, it's a lot more complex than that. Yes they work with this and want to make money out of this, but they do KNOW about stuff. If you see someone like redditleaker dude keeps saying that Dylan O'Brien will be Spider-Man, and he is doing on reddit. Eventually anyone will believe on him anymore, so why he did it, if not for the money? I'd say it's for the attention.

What I think it's more tacky and a serious case of poor management are actors with rabid fanbases keeping false hopes for things that aren't happening. I don't know if the Dylan O'Brien fans understand this - and they are even a lot worse outside here than they are here - but the way they act around their idol is turning a LOT people off. For every case of occasional supporter that they can get, you can be sure that the Streisand effect is going rampant. I seriously can't see myself checking any of his stuff anymore at least until the heat calms down. That's a lot more tacky than the scoopers imho, and it's ALSO about money and getting free publicity.

Well that says more about you than it does about Dylan O'Brien.

Also, does nobody see it as coincidence that Jeff Sneider posted the 'list' after that dude made the comment on Twitter? If Jeff Sneider knew all along wouldn't he have posted it before?

That's why I think it's all conjecture. In terms of that them names may have been going around but there is no way that is the shortlist. Sorry. This is my opinion though. (See how I'm covering my bases like Jeff Sneider did in the article?)
