what's good about asa is he can pull off 15, which justifies a slimmer spider-man, and allows the audience to see him physically develop over the next 5 or so years. By the time infinity war hits, Asa could be extremely fit and muscular and it will make the payoff all the more enjoyable.

that said, if he is still too thin for civil war, give him a muscle suit and/or muscle shading. hollywood magic is almost limitless.

I don't like Asa's lips. I know it's a shallow complaint, I know. But... Yeah.

I don't want muscle suits and fake stuff. I like someone who can fit the look most ideally want out of spidey.

again I wouldn't mind him skinny fir civil war solo 1 and infinity films. I am talking about the future. And if asa petite frame doesn't grow. Ie can he actually bulk up and it adds size to abs chest shoulders areas. I just don't want twig spidey now and a twig spidey come ten yrs from now.

as for if he lands the role. I do wish him well and I hope he can give us peter and spidey done right. He just not my ideal choice. I would take others over him.

Exactly!

Asa will fill out in a few years so we don't have to worry about having a twig-skinny Spider-Man forever.

In the long run, we'll probably end with a Garfield-esque build.

Harry that's what I am getting at how sure are we asa would fill out. We had this talks awhile back. About certain body types and body frames being easier or harder in getting bigger or smaller. I still feel asa falls more under the won't get bigger mass size then he is akready. If he can great. But still he isn't my 1st choice. When there is others with better looks and other qualities.

Haven't seen Elder's Game or Hugo. Might have to check it out

If his is cast, its because Marvel and Sony believe he's the best actor for the way the part is written for this version of Spiderman. I trust their judgment. Ultimately they know what they're going for, and they know how to get there. If he's Feige's choice , the kid's got my support.

Better question: Who's the clone chemist in this situation?

In all seriousness though, regardless of who the actor is, I just wanna see SPIDER-MAN on screen with the rest of the Avengers in the MCU for the very first time - how awesome is that? The very first time ever! I can only begin to imagine how many cool scenes Marvel can play out with Spidey now.

I'm a bit more interested in seeing what Sony can do with the character independently in a shared universe like the MCU than I am to see him interact with "big gun" characters like Iron Man, Captain America, etc., although I won't deny that there's a certain "cool factor" associated with the latter.

That's pretty much my stance.

Spider-Man is now in a giant sandbox and he's got his buddies with him making a glorious sandcastle of fun.
