when you cast a tall Peter Parker, you lose that dynamic where the big jocks like Flash pick on "Puny" Parker in HS.

true, you can be tall, thin, meek, and nerdy ( and thus "puny" ), and still be bullied. but it's not quite the same visual than if Parker was shorter than the jocks picking on him.

I still think it's weird that Dylan has commented about the rumors. Technically him joining Deepwater Horizon was a rumor when he responded to Gina Rodriguez's tweet so I don't see why he wouldn't have acknowledged the rumors about him being Spider-Man UNLESS he was being bound by an NDA. It's the only reason I haven't given up hope yet, as bleak as the chances might be.

There's still a possibility that he's not being considered anymore, but might still be locked into an NDA if he was auditioning for it.

yeah, i see that imdb shows he's that height but generally speaking i hear that imdb isn't always reliable. a few other places state he's 5'6".
