I think that the guy in the trench coat is someone else and Cage is the one on the left side.

I'm wrapped with this pic, if that's not a stare of penance I don't know what is.
My idea on the "waif look" is maybe it's to make parts of his skull (and general facial bone structure) more prominent. This could help to match up Cage's face with the CGI Ghost Rider skull later in the film.

Because Nic Cage already looks like a skull in that pic....yeah, the man does look like a druggie.

Nicolas Cage is a wonderful actor and will make a great job at it, but that´s not Blaze...unless he is a drug addict in the movie...

The age showed in the movie was my greater doubt, now even that has been washed away.

Thanks to Hollywood hair and makeup, so far so good. Now if Cage can avoid the dorky action-hero acting styles he cultivated in Con Air, The Rock, and American Treasure, we just might be in business.

Cage looks rather ticked off....which is fine for the character. while i will admit he looks different than the comic version its a look that i approve of.
looks very cool w/ dark hair and sunken cheeks...happy he lost that weight that he had from Treasure and Weatherman.
and i agree RedisnotBlue...its rather "suspicious" about the pic releases.

As someone already mentioned it will matchup with the skeleton fx real good but i think it works in the whole vengence/hardcore kind of way. Just happy we didn't get another standing character shot as our first glimpse.

I'm actually getting pretty excited for this.

Cage is known for doing ANYTHING to look and become the character he's taken on. I highly doubt he's a druggie but the no sleep and self-loathing/deprivation hollow cheek look is probably EXACTLY the look he was going for...ie...meaning....he's probably living on 3 slimfast drinks a day, exercising like a madman and going for no sleep to achieve the tortured look.

As I said before....Cage BECOMES the character, no matter what it takes.
