Continuing from last thread...

Crappy episode. Packer was funnier in his less-than-a-minute appearances in past episodes than tonight. The plot with Andy and Pam was absolutely pointless and not even remotely funny, just annoying. Seriously, why the **** are Andy, Stanley, and Phyllis acting like children about a new computer?

Every Pam-central plot this season has been forced and unfunny.

Yeah, but Stanley, Andy, and Phyllis have been acting like children for a few seasons now. Nothing new there.

I thought Jim & Dwight were funny together as usual, and I love Michael's growth.

I thought this episode was great. A helluva lot better than last week's, that's for sure.

I agree , it was great to see 'The Pack' back. I also like how they figured it into Michael's storyline with Holly. This will probably be the last of Packer I'm assuming .

I read that when "The Office" got back from winter break we'd only have 4 episodes before Carrell left? We've gone past four.

You got it backwards. There's four episodes this season without him.

if it wasn't for Packer, this episode would have really sucked. i agree that the sub-plot w/ Pam and Andy was stupid. i'm just happy that his episode and the one before had very little Gabe on it.

i really hope Packer comes back when Will Ferrell is on

If Ferrell's character works in Florida, he'll probably meet Packer, immediately love him, and hire him to work down there.

The stuff with Pam and Andy was garbage.. everything else was gold. Packer wasn't supposed to be funny.. that was the point.

what ever happened to Timothy Olyphant's character? the guy was in only two episodes and when he was first announced to guest star they made it seem as if his character would have a bigger story arc.

He's never in the office because he's a traveling salesman.

He's chained up in Meredith's basement.

One of the biggest wasted casting opportunities I've seen on the show.

And I hate how they're using celebs all the time now.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, but even then they can't seem to get it right anymore.

Agreed. Olyphant is great. I would have loved to see them use him better.

The show doesn't seem contained and it's kind of surreal. It definitely feels like there is a difference.

Agreed, one of the more enjoyable of the season.

Greg Daniels is coming back to send Micheal off.

I think Packer was brought back to show how much Mike loves Holly. As soon a Packer talked smack about Holly he was out.

So when does Will Ferrell debut? And will he share screen time with Steve Carrell? If so and David Koechner returns as Todd Packer during one of the Carrell/Ferrell we'd have 3/5ths of the cast of Anchorman on that show.

He should debut April 14.

I think you meant to say 3/4ths there champ.. women don't count. This is a newsroom for god's sake.

Steve Carell finishes filming on 'The Office' today

Six years ago, Steve Carell was still best known for his stint on The Daily Show, plus the occasional bit part in a big Hollywood movie, where he would inevitably steal scenes out from under bigger comedy superstars like Jim Carrey and Will Ferrell. Today, Carell is one of those big comedy superstars — the sort of multi-talented performer who can play a genial everyguy (Date Night) or a slightly off-kilter loon (Get Smart, The 40-Year-Old Virgin), with the occasional furlough into animated work (Despicable Me, Horton Hears a Who!.) Incredibly, Carell has become a movie star without ever ditching his day job on The Office, which makes him a genuine rarity in the Hollywood pantheon. (Even the tragically-handsome George Clooney didn’t have a big, non-Batman hit until he left ER.) Office co-star Rainn Wilson just tweeted that today is Steve Carell’s final day of filming on the sitcom. We shouldn’t say goodbye to Carell just yet. There are still a few more episodes with Michael Scott, and the actor’s post-Office schedule is packed with intriguing movie projects. But let’s all take a moment to consider the end of an era. And let’s thank Carell for all the funny/awkward/sad Office memories — TV won’t be the same without him.

Anyone hear a reference to the Office on 30 Rock last week?
