It'd be genius really. You'd get children/teen/adult audiences to see it.

Exactly. The adult audience seeing TGWTDT would see it and the others would be seeing it with Tintin.

Um. Well. I know what TDKR prologue is...I can't tell ya'll unfortunately but all I can say is...TASM needs to bring its A-Game. TDKR honestly might have topped my hype list with this...which really pains me to say.

Agreed. Sony has yet to really impress most audiences, especially critical for a reboot of a franchise that's only a decade old, telling the same origin story for the second time in a mere 10 years, and is going up against highly-anticipated films like The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers.
It makes me wonder what the hell Sony's marketing strategy is exactly.

The trailer really needs to blow the doors off things if they expect to compete with this prologue. This **** is going to blow the roof off the TDKR hype train.

I don't know if a better trailer is going to win over alot of the naysayers.

Most of them are Raimi loyalist who think SM4 was destined for greatness.

lol!

The sane ones will turn over a new leaf, then... if there are any sane ones

F--- you mean you can't tell us, write what you were told or saw, what's with fanboys and their secretive BS?

Already did on the batboards.

Bane hijacks a plane with some type of dictator on board as his final test for the League of Shadows. All the while, flashbacks of Bane as a kid and his upbringing are intercut. He's made out to be the anti-Batman; basically becoming what Batman would have become if he chose the path Ra's wished of him.

Sony doesn't give a damn about Batman or Avengers, you guys really need to stop trying to scare what can't be frightened. There's enough money at the box office for all three films and more. And stop with I don't wanna see the origin story stuff, we now have Sandman as Uncle Ben's killer, that crap must be erased, as soon as possible.

Was that so hard?

That's how I like my fanboys, willing to spill their guts at the drop of a hat.

The trailer should start with the car thief breaking into some random passerby's car, no music, no sound, just quick cuts. Then he gets in the car for a second, relaxes, and Spidey appears in the backseat joking about how car thieves dress like car thieves, guy freaks out, then the trailer runs like normal. There don't have to be any other quips. I just think this is a good way to introduce the new Spidey quickly and easily in a trailer.

I got goosebumps reading this!

I'm sorry but first you say "I can't tell you!" and then you say "Already did on the batboards". What the **** is the problem!? Trying to be cool or something?

That prologue sounds really cool, which isn't surprising because I expect TDKR to be awesome. That being said, my hype for TDKR hasn't grown at all. Maybe if I actually saw the footage.

It'll be interesting to see how the new TASM trailer compares though. However, it's kind of unfair to compare a 2-3 minute trailer with several minutes of footage. What is it supposed to be, 9 minutes? A better comparison would be the Comic-Con sizzle reel, but since I didn't see that I can't properly judge

I totally agree with showing Connors and a bit of the Lizard in the trailer. He's been hiding away for too long.

Yes, trying to be cool on the internet is definitely my modus operandi in life...

No, someone told me and asked me not to tell anyone until I got the OK to do so. He gave me the go ahead and then I spilled the beans.

Trust me, there are people who like to be secretive and all that just for the feeling of being special. And some people think they'll get in trouble when there's no reason to worry. Another feeling of "being special" (People have their eyes on me). If you get what I mean. You came off like one of those initially.

And you don't need to tell the origin story again to erase Sandman as Uncle Ben's killer. That's just a waste of an hour to get rid of a stupid retcon.
Furthermore, I wasn't saying that I didn't want to see the origin story again, I said that audiences might be apprehensive about seeing Spider-Man's origin for the second time in 10 years.

Considering that those two movies, ESPECIALLY The Dark Knight Rises, are TASM's biggest competitors, they do.

Agreed. If Sony doesn't get up off their collective ass and bring their A-game, The Amazing Spider-Man will be crushed like a bug.

The trailer will say what the movie is all about. So they have to show all emotions. Much like a shortened version of the comic con footage
