The new animated series debuts November 14. Here’s an advanced look at the Mattel toy line inspired by it. Here are images of the upcoming Batman: Brave and the Bold figures, deluxe figures and vehicles. They will be on shelf on January 2009.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is the upcoming animated television series based partially on the comic book series of the same name, which is scheduled to debut on November 14, 2008 on Cartoon Network. In the series Batman teams up with a host of familiar DC Comics heroes faves, including Adam Strange, Aquaman, The Atom, Black Canary, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Deadman, Doctor Fate, Fire, Firestorm, Flash, Green Arrow, The Green Lantern Corps, Guy Gardner, Justice Society of America, Jonah Hex, Kamandi, Huntress, Metamorpho, Red Tornado, Plastic Man, and Wildcat. They will be pitted against the likes of Black Manta, Calendar Man, Cavalier, Clock King, Gentleman Ghost, Gorilla Grodd, Kite Man, Kanjar Ro, Ocean Master, and Zebra-Man. This is an animated series with potential to spawn lots of action figures, so we’re happy.

I really want that belt and stuff, that looks so cool.

I think Im going to be collecting these. Maybe not all the Batvariants, but this looks to be a fun line. Im really hoping they do the Batmobile and Batplane.

I may pick up Plastic Man just because I'm sure he's such a rare fig but I doubt I buy too many of these. I was younger it'd be a different story. :)

I love how all of his gadgets have the red/black motif from the 60s car, that's so excellent.

I hope we get a figure of Grodd as well and some villians, not just majority of heroes....I'm definately getting a regular version of bats and plastic man though

Is that a Gentlemen Ghost figure!?

I WILL have him.

Does anyone know if that's suppose to be Guy Gardner in the second pic, top row, all the way on the right?

Actually, that's the Sportsmaster, who was a Golden Age enemy of Green Lantern and Wildcat.

I picked up the Batsub yesterday at walmart. It's a cool little figure/vehicle combo but I really dislike the peg holes on the figure. It's cool cuz you can put parts of the sub (the propeller, claws, wings and missle launcher) on batman but when they aren't on him you're stuck with those holes

Ive been hunting for these for last week, but no store in my area has stocked them yet. Im heading out today, maybe Ill get lucky.

I'm doing the same. I've heard walmarts are the place to go, so I'll be checking just one probably cuz I'm not too up for hunting haha. Good luck!

Meh. Nothing. Anywhere. :(

Target did have tags up for the figs, but said they didnt have them in yet. They were priced at 7.99.

I found some at my local walmart. I called ahead of time cuz I wasn't in the driving mood today haha. I picked up the basic batman with Hang Climber accessory. They had two of him, two red tornado and then 1 each of aquaman, black manta and another batman.

They also had the deluxe figures, the two packs and the figure and vehicle sets

I hate NE Ohio. Shelves sit empty for days, sometimes weeks.

PA is just as bad sometimes duder. I'd still keep my eyes peeled though because stores are recouping from christmas so tons of stuff should be coming out!

I woud pick some of these up if it weren't for those godawful holes, they're a dealbreaker for me. here's hoping future releases are a little more "pristine".

Yeah the holes are kinda irritating but they haven't stopped me from getting some of the figures. I'm just a big pushover for batman stuff :(

Ive been debating on leaving them in the package or not because I really dig the card designs. After finding out about the holes, I may just leave them in.

I called my local Wal Mart this morning and they told me that they finally had them in stock, but they were limited because on the 12th they are going to be featured on their pod displays. I stopped in after work and all they had were some of the deluxe packs, no basics. I did pick up the Bat tank with Bats and Blue Beetle.

Man, the format of this show really lends beautifully to a toy line, doesn't it? They can theoretically have a 2 minute hero/villain cameo at the beginning of an episode and make a figure for that character. Even if the character isn't reoccurring. Genius.

if you open that tank up, could you post some pics? it looks pretty awesome.

I picked up Black Manta, Aquaman and a regular version of Bats so far along with the Batsub. I wanna get the Deluxe Blue Beetle

Yeah, I can do that.

For those who havent seen this yet, this is it:

The cyber tank has a very Alex Ross batbot look to it, imo.

Most definitely. The toy company that produces the line has to be loving it.

I'm disappointed in the product though. I think the $8 is a little much when you can get the Movie Masters TDK figures for around that price, and those holes... those damn ugly holes in the arms.

I will most likely grab a couple anyways. Hopefully they will produce Green Arrow and Jonah Hex if they haven't already. :yay:

I was able to grab a reular Batman today at Target, but thats all they had! The clerk told me they already sold out. They had 2 cases on hand.

yeah they've been doing good around my area too. I gotta get a blue beetle soon
