I don't know about anyone else, but it always seems to me that when an actor isn't dedicated enough to dye his/her hair I feel like they just don't really respect or care enough about the part. I hope she doesn't mind me hating her character because of a horrible wig. What a waste, should have gotten a brunette chick.

Are you kidding me? Who gives a **** if she doesn't wear it outside? I'm not expecting a Daniel Day Lewis who will wear her wig out in the shower and when she sleeps.

It only bothers me if they have no other projects going on in their life, but she's clearly the star of Gossip Girl, and her long flowy blonde locks are a trademark of her character, so I don't mind it not being dyed.

Christopher Reeve wore a wig.

yea sure its nice when they can dye hair, but she is probably just going to wear a wig from what we been told she does have dark locks for carol.

Don't "wig out" people... I'm sure the character will have dark hair in the movie.

as long as it looks good, who cares? Didn't Paltrow and Scarjo wear wigs for Iron Man 2?

Actors wear wigs all the time. Heck, they even sometimes wear contact lenses, make-up, lifts in their shoes. A wig is just a part of the costume. The concern should be, of course, how authentic and appropriate it looks, not the sheer fact that that it is a wig.

My main concern is, y'know, her acting... I don't know if anyone of you have happened to actually watch her on Gossip Girl, but, uhhh... ... ... yeeeaaaaahhhh...

^ Watch The Private Lives of Pippa Lee... she did a really good job acting opposite to her co-stars like Robin Wright Penn, Keannu Reeves, Julianne Moore, Alan Arkin, Monica Belucci, and Winona Ryder. I thought it was going to be nothing but a chick flick but it was really an awesome movie.

Once the characters have been cast shouldn't the casting polls be done away with, oh well, I chose Kate Beckinsale :o

acutally its been stated a few times already she will have dark locks for the film and its a wig. i am sure it will look good. plus she probably cant dye it with gossip girl filming picking up early july and she will likely be done with gl in middle of june.

Plus need I remind you of when Kate Bosworth dyed her hair brown for the role of Lois in Superman Returns? Looked absolutely terrible.

That was a wig, and yes it looked terrible, and yes that's exactly the kind of thing I don't want to see in green lantern.

i think the guy who is playing Thor has a good wig.and yes he has a wig. you can see it in the HD pic that its a wig. but in the movie you will never notice it.

there differene between a bad wig and a bad hairstyle.

Wow... this whole time I've been thinking it was dye. Well... I trust Martin Campbell a hell of a lot more than I trust Bryan Singer. Singer also fu***d up Storm's hair in X2.

Plus you have to look at it this way, if she dyes her hair and she finishes her filming dyes it back to blonde for Gossip Girl and then gets the call to do reshoots, is she going to dye her hair again?
A wig is so much better, over the period of filming her hair will stay the same length, and for reshoots all she would have to do is put the wig on again.

and then Ratner fu***d it even further up in X3.

yea plus it was reported the other day filming commences for gossip girl in early july and it will probably be short time after she finishs filming on gl. So wig deal is very easy option so then when it comes time for reshoots bim bam she is ready to go. and i am sure it will look good. Everything else so far has been looking good for the film.

Ratner fu**ed up everything in X3... because Singer had to leave in order to fu** up Superman. lol. Apparently they both just felt the need to ruin franchises.

And really... I'm not going to make a big deal about it or look down on her or the film if they keep her hair blonde in the film. But I do think that they will at least have her wear a wig. And if Campbell was able to make Anthony Hopkins look like a decent version of Zorro (and make him look younger), I'm sure he can make sure that Lively looks like a realistic burnette. lol.

What if they left her blond during the filming and CGI'ed her hair dark? Hmmm.... It could be done you know?

The adventure begins in the Vogue offices when I am bidden to look at the fittings shots of Blake Lively, which reveal a body sublimely toned for her upcoming role as Carol Ferris (a.k.a. ultravillain Star Sapphire) in Martin Campbell's Green Lantern, based on the DC Comics superhero introduced in 1940. "All I want is to be a hero to my nephews and nieces," Lively says, laughing. "I'm going to be the coolest aunt ever."

Lively has been rehearsing with a stunt coordinator who works on the Bond movies and with gymnastic acrobats from Cirque du Soleil. "Our director likes it real—the fights close and dirty," she explains, and for added veracity aerial stunts are being filmed in the rig created for The Matrix. "I'm 40 feet in the air, spiraling around. That's the best workout you can ever do because it's all core," she tells me. "You do that for ten minutes and you should see your body the next day! It's so exhilarating, so thrilling—and nauseating," she adds, all of which promises to stand her in good stead for the surf experience to come. - VOGUE
"Some interesting quotes from Lively. Is she describing herself as being the damsel in distress or will she actually appear as Star Sapphire?"-SHH!

OMG... THIS SPARKS A LOT OF QUESTIONS FOR ME? COULD WE ACTUALLY BE GETTING CAROL IN VILLAINESS ACTION?! (NOTE THE PURPLE STAR SPAPPHIRE FONT LOL)
