Sure! But at the end of the day the only opinion that matters is your own. :)

If you just want to enjoy the movie in your home video collection for years to come, I 100% support that.

But if you're hoping for a film to sustain the genre, this sort of isolationist take on movies doesn't help. Marvel needs to sell 30-40 Million tickets to Captain America in order for it to be sequel worthy; Bad buzz is NOT going to help them achieve that.

I think it's quite suspicious that we've only been seeing positive reviews until rotten tomatoes posted those four.

I think it looks fantastic, I have been excited the most for this comicbook film this summer. Problem is, Harry Potter is probably going to win the weekend right?

notice that the average score is 7.1, I'm sure it'll turn itself around.
Yeah, but the damage Rotten Tomatoes has done has already started.

Just log on to Twitter.

Everyone is now saying this movie is rotten and retweeting it to their followers, just based on Rotten Tomatoe's last tweet.

First impression counts... a lot.

P.S.

Notice Rotten Tomatoes only have been tweeting negatives about Captain America, but other movies like "Friends with Benefits" have been silent.

I agree. It's quite odd that most of the reviews so far have been pretty good, but rotten tomatoes pretty much obliterated that...and a lot of people pay attention to rotten tomatoes and judge whether or not they'll see a film based on the tomato meter. At least a lot of people I know do that.

That kinda makes me angry...

EDIT: Also, now the average rating is at 7.3

I don't like that they have to tweet each review. They should tweet the percentage after there is a consensus .

They've added one positive review and one negative now. So it's 3-5

Friends with Benefits has its Roger Moore review up but Cap doesn't :/ both positive lol and they are so unbelievably slow it's like they are letting this marinate, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but man it's hard not to think something funny is up.

Gods... all I have to say is drinks are on me.

This thread needs it like burning.

Rotten Tomatoes is owned by WB...:awesome:
Dun dun duuuunnn....

The amount of fresh and rotten is now even at 6-6.

Pass the booze.

I can just see it all snowballing now:

Husband: Jesus! Twitter says Captain America sucks! Only 40% fresh! Well I was willing to give it a fair shake but I'm definately not going to see it now."

Wife: But how many reviews does it have so far? Isnt it a little early?

Husband: No, No, its all too late, I dont care if it ends up being 90% fresh on Friday. They had their chance with me and blew it. Lets see Green Lantern again.

Almost caught up with Harry Potter's 8 rotten reviews already!

I sent this Tweet to @RottenTomatoes:

https://twitter.com/#!/CBMovieWatch/status/93729000605745152

@RottenTomatoes Why aren't you guys tweeting about Friends with Benefits? Just negative and premature ratings for Captain America? WB owned?

3 minutes later, they tweeted this:

Check the time stamp in the links, seriously.

To say that the user of WB's Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have an agenda is ridiculous... right?

I do think studios pay off sites and reviewers to hype or trash certain films. Honestly though I don't know why anyone is concerned. The lowest rated blockbuster this summer (aside from Green Lantern) was Transformers: Dark of the Moon and that crushed the freaking Box Office.

I'm trying to come up with a decent Captain America themed cocktail, but failing miserably.

Guess he could be an Old-Fashioned kind of guy. Maybe a beer...
