The initial hype for the comic hinted at some possible nuggets to enjoy in the future: the recovery of a nuclear device stolen by The Joker, for instance. That would be a decent page turner. As it is, I feel that the series often degenerates into mildly pretensious waffle, which is often fairly ignorant of genuine political structures. I suppose you could argue that impermanent members of the security council work in a different way in the DCU, but then, what's the point of having a storyline where the security council is key? Is it an attempt to give the book a pseudo-topical flavour, or is it just to pad out the grindingly slow realisation that Kobra are active in China? Far apart from that, I feel that the oppurtunity to stuff the book full of interesting second stringers has been wasted. I can only speak personally, but I find both Sasha and "Terrific" deathly dull at the moment.

I hope to look in again, though, when we finally have a solid supervillain for the organisation to thwart.

1) AMANDA WALLER (JLU and suicide squad)
If there's one hope I have is that Amanda ISN'T characterized like the b!+ch in JLU! The Wall was one of my favorite characters in the 90's and she wasn't even a superhero. You know what would've happened if Bats had snuck into Amanda's bathroom like in JLU in the comics? Batman is the one that would have been left shaken after he left, not the other way around. I could stand Question taking some of the twitchy, paranoid, conspiracy theorist issues the JLU has; but I hope they don't bastardize Amanda with the JLU version.
I do. I'm a big fan of the original Ostrander run on the Suicide Squad. Rick Flag's tale was told.Darthphere said:Ah who cares.
