Connor will be back obviously. But for quite sometime there have been TWO active Green Arrows. Both Wildcats are called Wildcat and are tied together. There are still 5 Earth based Green Lanterns, no matter how you word it: Hal, Kyle, John, Guy, and Alan. And for a very short while there were indeed two Blue Beetles around. And Orin is indeed resurected (back in the last issue of Meltzer's run) and Joseph is off with both of them being ignored for some reason.
You're not getting what I'm saying. I know there are multiple heroes working under the same name. My point is that they're never treated equally. Someone always becomes the main hero and the other becomes a sidekick (John/Wildcat Jr.), irrelevant (Kyle and Guy), downplayed (Alan), braindead (Connor), or just plain dead (Ted). Given the recent Silver Age love from everybody at DC, I think it's pretty obvious that even if Barry and Wally 'co-star' in The Flash, it'll be Barry's book with Wally in a bit part. Hell, we've actually already seen that in The Flash as is: Wally's clearly the star with Jay in a very clear supporting role. I don't want to see Wally reduced to that.
What's wrong with the two of them put together, asides from the fact that Van Sciver was involved with the return of a previous Silver Age hero.
I've got no interest in Barry Allen and I'm not a fan of Van Sciver's style, especially on as active a character as the Flash. His art looks like static pin-up art all the time.

I rephrase "Do flash comics sell?".

With the right creative team, I think they can. Take a look at the Green Lantern line. It is selling fantastically right now thanks to Johns, Van Sciver, and Reis.

Relaunching the Flash like they did with Green Lantern. DC should be putting heavy focus on the Flash IMO because he has a lot of potential.

With Barry back, I think DC should put Flash back into it's original numbering to issue #600+ (350 issues with the first volume, currently 241 issues with the current volume, and the 13 issues of the third volume). Have a high profile team that can deliver the excitement.

Resurect Bart, but deaged and back as Kid Flash and on the Teen Titans.

Find a cure for the West kids and have them a part of a reformed Young Justice.

Have Wally on the Titans and Justice League of America.

Have Barry on Robinson's Justice League with Hal and Ollie.

Obviously have Jay on the Justice Society.

Meanwhile in Keystone City and Central City you have a team of superheroes patrolling the streets just like in Gotham City and Star City. But unlike Batman's team and Green Arrow's team where Batman and Green Arrow are the obvious leaders of their tight knit group, they're all equals.

That's how I'd give the Flash a relaunch and make them have a very prominent position in the DCU just like Green Lantern.

I doubt DC would ever have Teen Titans, Titans, and Young Justice books on the stand all at once. Besides, I think DiDio thought Young Justice was stupid anyway, hence essentially turning the YJ team into the Teen Titans after Graduation Day.

I'm going to be optimistic that Wally isn't reduced to a side character.

I like Van Sciver's style, but I'd agree, it isn't meant for the Flash. I'd rather see him on Aquaman.

Meh, DiDio is gone soon hopefully and and maybe the next guy in charge will listen to my Young Justice idea. :cmad:

You never know. Maybe someone higher up really likes DiDio. We'll probably have to wait until his contract renegotiation in... October, I think it is... to know for sure.

So long as the green dishwashing gloves stay off, I'd be down for that.

Unfortunately, regarding Wally, DC hasn't given me much to inspire optimism lately.

Am I the only one who thinks Van Sciver is totally overrated? His details are nice but his characters' faces and anatomy are almost unbearably plastic, their poses awkward and unnatural.

No Bri, (I'm calling you Bri from now on) you're not the only one.

Yeah, I feel the same. His characters often look very stiff and awkward. He draws highly detailed faces, but he often ventures into lemon-face territory, just like Finch.

But he still sells comics by the truckload, so he ain't going anywhere.

As does David Finch. However, I don't hate their art, Finch works for me on some titles, like on Moon Knight, he was perfect for that.

Agreed. His Hal-Parallax is the creepiest thing I've seen in comics in a long time

There is one image of Superman that Van Sciver did that looked completely off. The proportions were odd. I think it was on the cover of 52 Aftermath: The Four Horsemen or something like that. I'll try to find a picture.

Heres one for right now until I can find the exact one I'm looking for. Superman's chest just seems a little too large or something.

Yeah, Superman's all weird-looking. Wonder Woman looks good and Van Sciver always draws Batman's cape nicely, though.

I don't like Van Sciver or Finch. Although if I had to choose one over the other, I'd probably go with Van Sciver.

I think I'd go with Finch. His anatomy is usually more consistent and I think his art is more active and dynamic.

I just don't like Finch's faces, especially his men. They ALL look like they're sucking a lemon. Plus, he's been using waaaay too much blacks recently.

I pretty much still think that was just Bendis covering his ass.

I like the current art for the Flash a lot. Just something about the style really stands out to me and I enjoy reading it each issue. I'd be nice to see some Flash animated direct to dvd feature announced soon. Something with some good inspiring art, something fresh, other than what we usually get from the Bruce Timmverse

i'm not a big fan of the current art it's to messy
