Don't even get me started on that...Even if he some how could lift all of the debris from the decrepit hell hole that building once was, why on Earth did it look brand spankin new when he rebuilt it?

That part bugged the hell out of me. Aside from that, I'm enjoying book so far. Barry may not be my Flash, but he's still a decent character, and the book keeps me entertained.

Ha, didn't even think of that. Maybe he polished the place at super speed too

His speed reading powers allowed him to have full knowledge on how to properly rebuild a building for a short time.

Yeah, I'm totally on board with that part... It's just that it looked brand new.

Well the flash didn't just use the old foundation. he brought in new bricks and whatnot and gave it a brand new paint job. Its looked new because it had a bunch of new editions.

I only saw the rebuilding of the house page of that issue (I don't read Flash) but I really don't see the problem. Sure, it's not realistic, but so what?

Yeah, Wally rebuilt the bridge between Keystone and Central in Johns' run and it looked better than it used to. I very much doubt any city would allow that to stand since Wally's not a licensed contractor and they can't just take his word that it's up to code and everything, but who cares? It's comics. Cool s*** like that can happen.

That non-union scab:argh:

Ha, yeah, I guess that could've been jobs for like dozens of people in the local community. I never thought of it that way.

But not JOBS, missy! And that's what's really important in this here econ'my! Life without a job makes you a bum, and bums are just lazy people lookin' for them government handouts. :o

Gotta love a criminal with a scarf. Sure it's liable to get him tossed across a room, or get caught in a revolving door, but he's so bad ass that he just has to accessorize. The man's a criminal, and he's got style.

Captain Boomerang is gonna start a new craze: The Resurrection Diet! Step 1: Get yourself killed. Step 2: Become a ring-powered zombie. Step 3: Return to life and watch those pounds disappear! :awesome:

Well, yeah, why would they need a younger, more interesting Boomerang when the good ol' SILVER AGE Captain Boomerang is back now? He's older, therefore he must be better! Science FACT. :awesome:

I bet even John Ostrander thought Owen was a better Captain Boomerang.

So I just finished the new issue of The Flash and while I'm still getting used to Barry Stick-In-The-Mud Allen, I have to say the most interesting stuff in this particular issue had to do with Boomer's new power which I think is pretty damn awesome.

And it seems like Johns is setting up for something tragic to happen to Iris sometime during his run. Yet more tragedy to give Barry more depth or something...I'm not sure why he's doing this.

I'm digging this run so far. Story is moving a little slow though but you gotta write for that trade paperback. That Manapul art is absolutely beautiful. The coloring is awesome! This issue and the last issue I found myself having to double back and just stare at the artwork. It just seems like he's getting better and better with each issue. This book is worth the price of admission just for the artwork. Keep it up, Manapul, you freakin' rock!
