Yes. If you can get past Freddie Williams' art, which still mostly sucks, Peyer's first issue looks like a promising start to a much better Flash title.

it's waaaay to late, the book has lost all momentum. I'll pick it up when something Super exciting happens like a flash vs zoom showdown or something.

^Seriously :o

This past issue was awesome. It was extremely easy to relate to Wally's frustration and even his slip-up on camera

It's almost like when they were plotting out the whole Infinite Crisis/52/OYL/Countdown on the big board at DC headquarters, they just had a big question mark for the flash.
I believe that is what happened, actually. I never believed Flash's quick death was planned. They had no plans to kill Bart, so they never tried to figure out the details of where Wally went.

Man, there has been SO much no-editorial-oversight at DC in the past two years.

Wally needs to go back to being a police mechanic then Peyer can reintroduce the Keystone Cops. Rereading Gotham Central and the arc when they travel to Keystone really made me miss Chyre & Morillo.

Or the Keystone City Police Department. He's the Flash. He can move fast enough so that nobody sees him using his powers.

Lucky shot. Like that photographer who accidentally took a picture and wound up capturing a suicidal person who'd thrown herself off a building just before she hit the ground. He got famous off that picture but it was a total fluke.

I dunno the physics behind speed but I wouldn't think a camera could capture somebody moving that fast.

It depends on how fast he's going, and it has more to do with the physics of a camera shutter than the physics of speed. A digital camera could capture the Flash pretty easily. A conventional camera would probably get a blurry Flash, if it catches him at all.

Yeah, I liked this issue way more than the last couple. I can't believe Wally can't think of any ways to make legit money. How do other heroes make cash?

How about a courier?

He's delivered stuff before, and Kapitalist Couriers seemed to make a good living out of it - It would seem the logical choice.

"For when your parcel just absolutely, positively has to get to it's destination..................in a Flash"

That would just drive the pace of society up that much farther. God, I'd hate to live in a world with instant package delivery. We're already getting a little too interconnected.

I don't like the insanely rapid pace of society today. I don't like the level of artificial interconnectedness we've all happily lapped up, while forsaking real interconnectedness.

I don't know anybody who goes fishing on a Saturday with his buddies anymore. If he does, he goes by himself. But he'll be sure to tell all his friends about by email and instant messenger. There's a whole bunch of things wrong with that, but it's the template for the modern man.

Ah ha, that fishing scenario makes sense. We are moving further apart while still staying "close" together as long as we have a cell phone of PDA on us. Sucks, but it's only gonna get worse.

Now, I wish my Southland Tales DVD would get here already. I ordered it from Amazon 2 whole days ago! :cmad:
