I'd buy a Wally series too. They really should start one up, even if Barry is going to be the star of "The Flash" from next year. I actually wish Johns would write any Wally-led title, since he did so well with the character in his previous run. But after "Flash: Rebirth", they'll inevitably put him on the Barry title. Try and make the bitter pill easier to swallow.

What "they"? There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that Johns would want to write the Barry title. He's practically aching to write Barry. You can see it in any of his interviews on Flash: Rebirth.

Personally, I say take the similarities with GL even further and have Tomasi write Wally's comic. He's one of the few writers who can still capture that flavor of the period leading up to Infinite Crisis, which I consider part of Wally's best period.

I was actually going to suggest Tomasi. Between GLC and Nightwing, I think he's quietly establishing himself as one of DC's best writers.

Actually he'll be in the Superman books sometime soon with Monarch completely ignored.

Johns said that Captain Atom will be appearing in both Action Comics and Superman in a major role. I'm pretty sure that they've said that they won't be dealing with the Countdown stuff at all like the Jimmy Olsen and Monarch stuff and are pretty much ignoring it.

I'll be reading Superman, in two minds about Action Comics. I'm not liking what Johns is doing but I don't want to loose bits of story from Superman.

If the New Krypton stuff isn't as prominent by the time Captain Atom shows up, I may give both Superman comics another try. Right now, though, I have absolutely no interest in New Krypton, so they're dropped.

So i read the Waid comic where Neron asks for Flash's love for Linda in exchange for the Rogues getting their souls back... BRAND NEW DAY anyone?

But this time, this comic was written brilliantly, especially the ending...

Yeah, the Flash seems to have several parallels to OMD/BND. During Johns' run, Hal Jordan used his power as the Spectre to erase everyone's memory of Wally's identity. The difference, of course, is that Johns explained it pretty clearly upfront and then used the next arc, "Ignition," to quickly establish the new status quo and give those close to Wally the knowledge of his dual identity back.

I think I agree with the idea that Barry can watch over Central and the West family can patrol Keystone. BUT, I'd like to see them find a cure for the two speeding ****ing kids because I dislike the hell out of them. They could allow the kids to age to their 19s or 20s and then inject them with the cure stabilizing their age and they can go join the f'n Titans or somethin. Then Wally can go back to being just a Flash with a wife and some kids who are off doing there own superheroics and be back to the impulsive action-oriented speedster I grew up with.

Yeah, they went through the Speed Force and came out the other side normal or something. I don't actually understand how it was done, but it happened in the last issue of Peyer's run.

Nope, I'm still stuck at medium. I think my hands would break if I played on expert.

Wally could play all the instruments on expert at the same time, though. He should start up his own band. Like, literally, his own band. He's the only member. It'd rock.

The problem is, he can't actually play every instrument at once, so no matter how fast he goes, there would be a very slight delay between each instrument playing. Most people probably wouldn't notice it, but after a while it might start to sound a little off tempo. Which is fine if he's starting some crazy new age band, I guess. Imagine Wally wearing one of the Devo hats.

If he's switching between and playing the instruments at intervals of near-light speed, no human ear could possibly notice any aural delay.

Light is faster than sound, anyway, so technically there would be no delay, period, between the sound being played and it reaching our ears.

Are they rebooting the series with a #1 when Barry is back? Will there be TWO Flash books?

Wally will probably get knocked down to a supporting character at best, and fans will have to rely on Titans for regular appearances. Sort of like Kyle and Green Lantern Corps, except plus the "supporting character at best" and minus "Johns ignoring the fact that he exists."
