As long as it doesn't look the Kid Flash costume, I'll probably be okay with it. Unless it's really, really ugly.
Maybe so but it's still copying what Barry did. The only difference is Wally is around his kids, Barry wasn't.
That's kind of the most important difference you could possibly have, though. Barry's kids didn't matter, period. They still don't, really. His grandkids matter more than they do.

Wally's actually raising his kids, ergo they matter because they have a real, ineffable, tangible effect on his life and his characterization.

And I hope he either shows his hair
Oh, like this?

Knew you were a Wally-hater.

Only without Barry's kids there would be no grandkids to have around.

That said, the Tornado Twins have showed up occasionally in comics. They met Wally once in Waid's run.

You can have one kid for that. Why two identical twins of both sexes with speed super-powers when Barry did that already?

I don't think comic book characters are even genetically capable of having twins of the same sex. Every single "twin" we've ever gotten has been boy and girl for some reason.

Well, Scarlet Witch, but that literally doesn't count.

But seriously, same bloodlines do in fact have a genetically higher possibility of having twins.

So I'm a hater because I like Wally's hair? So I'm a hater because I've consigned myself to the fact that he's going to have to get a new costume and I'm just trying to figure out what that's going to be?

You're as close minded as the people you profess to be above.

Yi, it was a joke.

Id go for something that showed the hair...maybe something similar to Impulse but a little more grown up

The symbolism of the hair-showing is pretty obvious, though, isn't it?

I don't think so....Superman has hair showing, so does Aquaman, GL, not everyone needs a cowl

Yes, but none of those guys were ever Kid Aquaman or Kid Lantern. For Wally West, a costume with his hair showing means a pretty specific thing.

would you be happy with a helmet or bucket? I think it's better long term if he establishes an identity and a look that separates him from 'The Flash'.....

He is The Flash. Barry Allen is the Formerly Dead Flash.

DC Comics and Geoff Johns would like a word

seriously though, I know this is a tough time for some Flash fans but we're all going to help each other through this....:yay:

I dont. Thats part of his appeal. He was a sidekick who got to graduate to the main hero. I wish they did that more often to tell the truth.

And I hate that this excuse is only directed towards Wally because it has been used numerous times since Barrys return was even hinted at. This rant is not necessarily directed at you BL, but no one is saying the Black Canary or other members of the JSA should be getting their own personas to distance themselves from their legacy.

I'd be okay with a helmet, maybe. It'd have to be a really slick-looking helmet, though.

Also, Bart's Kid Flash costume should be modified to include his Impulse goggles. Bart = goggles in my mind. They're a necessary part of his iconography to me.
Ineffable? What are they, tiny Jesuses?
All parents think their kids are the Second Coming. :o

Eh, maybe it's a speedster thing. Either way, the kids are being handled differently enough that I think it's fairly unique in each instance.

The good news is that, with Bart Allen back, there is zero chance of Wally West being reverted to Kid Flash status.

The bad news is, they might just kill him instead. :csad:

If I was Brian, I'd have bookmarked the post where I said they'd do that and whip it back out weekly from now until the first issue of Rebirth, but unfortunately I never plan to be as absolutely correct as I'm gonna be.
