That's hardly unique to speedsters. That's just part of the comic book medium. Expect any character to come back at some point in some form.
This solicits say that Barry finds a dead speedster and realizes the dangers of being a flash. He probably finds Kid zoom and realizes how easy it is for the rogues to kill speedsters.
Kind of a shame that they're wasting an issue on the fifty millionth Superman/Flash race. Although, it might be worth it if Barry turns out to be slower than Superman. He won't, but I like to dream.THE FLASH: REBIRTH #3
