Yeah, Brightest Day #7 reveals what each of the resurrectees was brought back for. It's all very cryptic still, so I wouldn't really call them spoilers. I'm sure there's more to Boomer's that will be revealed later, too.

Well, I guess it's no more pathetic than his usual purpose in life, which was always to throw boomerangs at s***.

I want you to look at it this way. His purpose in life is to attempt to kill half of the lamest superhero duo in all of comics.

If he succeeds, Captain Boomerang deserves a medal.

But it's the non-lame half. Dove could actually be a decent character. Unshackle her from Hawk and I think she'd be an awesome member of the Birds of Prey. (I know she's on the team already but that's with Hawk and besides, I haven't been reading it.)

I like Dove. I hope Boomer kills Hawk. Which reminds me, what the hell is Hawks reason for being back?

To catch the boomerang. Which, according to the Brightest Day art, he will totally fail at. This is me, surprised:

And here's the kicker: Ted as Hawk and Vic as Dove! "Graaarrr, I'm gonna f***ing kill you evildoers with my incredibly goofy beetle gadgets!" :awesome:

Okay, I don't understand the Renegade's entire purpose.

Their Top is like, "Okay I have to tell the Flash the truth," and their Heatstroke is like "No you can't do that, it will change history, oh **** he's gonna do it DADDY HE'S BREAKING THE RULES WE HAFF TO STOP HIM"

But doesn't coming back to the past, blowing up a bunch of **** in the past, and then arresting the Flash for a crime he hasn't actually committed yet change history anyway? Commander Cold throws a hissy fit and is like "****, not our precious precious protocol!!" but how is what the Top does remotely any different from what they've been doing all this time, except about a hundred times less ******ed?

Shh! That makes too much sense.

Seriously, I think Geoff Johns is joking half the time with what he writes.

Hawk fails at everything Corp:awesome:

Why does Mystirious have to reply to every post Corp makes?

It makes her look like a creeper.

Maybe I just have extremely interesting thoughts that demand replies. :cmad:

No, but seriously, I don't know why she does it. :o

I do not reply to every post that Corp makes

It's bittersweet for me. Regardless of what fans prefer at the moment, DC's not going back on Barry anytime soon. Eventually, if they stick to their guns, the tides will shift and people will prefer Barry again simply because he's being presented as the main Flash. We've seen it plenty of times. Hell, we're seeing it with Spider-Man right now. Everyone was up in arms about "One More Day," but Marvel made a point of hiring phenomenal talent for its follow-up and now, finally, "OMD" haters are getting tired of b****ing, sales are decent, and everyone else either never cared or has moved on. If Marvel could sell something as horrible as "OMD" with patience and solid comics after the fact, I'm sure DC will have no problem shifting the masses toward Barry the same way.

Trust me when I say this...the OMD haters are certainly NOT tired of *****ing. :oldrazz:

Well, not the most extreme, vocal ones, no. But a lot are. I know because I am an "OMD" hater and I'm certainly far past b****ing about it. I dropped Spider-Man's comics and never looked back, and after a couple of years now, I don't miss them in the least. But I know for every single person like me, there's gotta be a couple of people who jumped on post-"OMD" or swallowed their anger and kept on buying anyway, since the sales are still decent.

It's just like people in my position,,,certain diehards will continue what is a pointless protest, everyone else moves on. There will be OMD haters years from now unless it is somehow undone.
