 best.news.ever. best DC title OYL just got better

Its nothing concrete, but im almost sure of it. That first issue when Black Queen's knight died, I immediately thought, Roy is in.

i was thinking Roy would be included as her Knight too.
but in the latest issue where Alan is talking to the French guy, and they mention something about a Frenchmen joining the higher members, that got me thinking...

I thought that the scene with an almost naked Sasha was needless, and it is a scene that has been more or less mirrored in several other OYL titles. I wouldn't have minded it if there was some indication that Sasha and Mr Average had had a prior relationship, but her conversation with her bishop afterwards indicated that this was a one-off. I hold some hope that there is a plotline that will spring from this- some of Sasha's statements during the scene were indicative of...something. But if nothing comes from it, then it was a sex scene for the sake of it.

That's not to say that the book isn't otherwise very good; I love Alan Scott in his new role.

Thats one scene in 3 issues. Seems like overreatcion on your part. Remember this is OYL, we dont know if they had a fling over that missing year.

They almost certainly didn't- see my comments on Sasha's post-coital chat with her bishop.

I aknowledge that it was only a single scene, but it is the recurrance of scenes like this in so many books that has begun to bore me.

Well do you talk to your friends the same way you do to your lover after a romantic encounter?

You misunderstand me. I meant to draw your attention to Sasha being asked whether Mr Terrific lived up to his name, which is a question that only makes sense if he and Sasha's sexual relationship is a new thing.

And we're hopelessly off topic here.

I liked this issue.

As a Flash fan I only jumped on in the middle of Johns' run on the book. So, I'm really only familiar with Wally and a few things here and there. So, this issue was a nice little help and gave me a better insight as to the Flash mythos and everything. I don't really understand the "speed force", I guess it's been explained before John's run?

But regardless, I enjoyed it and it hooked me in. However, I'm a little disappointed at the little mention of Wally and his family and what happened to them. I suppose they are going to keep us hanging a little bit until they truly get to that.

To me, it definitely looks like Bart is going to pick up the mantle of Flash. I'm very mixed about it as I kind of enjoyed Bart's character a bit in this issue, but I'm going to severely miss Wally.

The artwork was all right. I was maybe expecting a little more out of it, as the other One Year Later books I've been reading from DC has made sure they've had some pretty decent artwork.

But, so far so good. Just a little disappointed at the no love for Wally. :(

Hello everyone, I'm new here. Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the first issue thus far, and I'm willing to give Bart a chance at being Flash if it's him. I'm just a litte pissed that Wally may not be coming back.

bart and inherita

Inertia was the kid cloned from Bart Allen, spliced with Thawne DNA. Inertia was to become the ultimate triumph of the Thawnes over the Allens by replacing Impulse.

i doubt its inertia... why would it be him? wouldnt bart recognize him? wasnt he just identical to bart but with blonde hair? i thought someone theorized it may be that ******* griffin, which seems as likely and predictable as this first issue was... everything was so formulamatic

I thought having no discernable transitions between perspectives was quite mold-breaking
