I don't see what the argument is, it has to be Barry. Using Wally would either require huge rewrites of Flash lore or ignoring it completely. Wally's graet an all, but he was never and will never be as great a hero as Barry, just like Kyle will never be Hal's equal. And just like the Hal/Kyle situation, Wally's mere existence as Flash is dependent on Barry.

Yea i am like that using barry first and then going to wally is a better ruote to go if you want to be more faithful to the characters and not cause huge rewrites/changes to the characters us fanboys would get pissed off about. Plus starting with barry who has the easier origin to tell is good too and then show why the legacy of the flash.

except you will never see a transition of the mantle...by the time this movie is made, barry allen will be fully cemented as the current flash....switiching to wally, a now outdated storyline, dosent make sense

not really if a good story can be written and the acting is good it can work. But yea this is a problem with these characters like flash/green lantern where there has been multiple people who used the name/look. Its far easier to do a batman/superman/spiderman because there has only been pretty much just the one person as said character throughout its publication.

would be nice he is a good young talent, but since it looked like he passed for gl its doubtful he would take flash on. I think he might not be interested in comic films at this time in his career.

yeah i guess making chick-flicks is all he wants to do...i bet he'll do it, though. he's not that well known. it could be a huge career boost.

true but if he doesnt want to do these types of film its ok. There is tons of talented actors who could be barry,etc.... flash's.

why does everyone keep suggesting porter? he's not that great on friday night lights, nor was he that interesting in speed racer. i bet if he was never RUMORED to play superman in the horrendously described JL Mortal, no one would ever mention him. he's a tall blonde guy. that's it. he might surprise us, but i doubt it.

He's good on Friday Night Lights. . He shows a great amount of pain when he shows emotion that seems very genuine and he can be very funny to. He proves in many episode that he would be good for playing Wally (or Barry). If they cast him I would be very happy; and if not the Flash I hope he gets some big movie roles eventually

actually porter stated many times over he was never offered superman for jl:m he was offered one of the two flash roles. I myself have never seen his work but he is a nice young talent and could possibly do well in the role, but like i said there is tons of actors out there who could do very well in the role.

i thought he was never approached for any role in jl:m. he was rumored for superman. there's even a convention vid someone on here posted where they asked him to sign a superman comic. porter looked clueless and slightly angry.

so we've talked about the flash himself, but what villains could make a cool transition to the movie? bring in all of the rogues or stick with one in the first movie?

I had this idea of

2nd film= Zoom
3rd film= The Rogues (Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master)

but i couldnt think of a villain for the first one. I thought Gorilla Grodd but I thought that might be too corny

maybe trickster?where he's an imbalanced serial killer who put on a gawdy costume in order to kill the flash who he thinks is the real threat to central city? sounds a lot like the joker but less severe crimes.
