According to that plan, if you want Wally, then you have to wait 2 decades from now for them to get to The Flash part 7-9. muah haha.

Likewise, Wally West fans don't want to wait through 3 Barry Allen Flash movies before they do one about Wally, so I hope that Warner Bros. can find a direction to take with the franchise that will keep most fans happy.
this  Scott Porter for Wally
He looks just like Wally

WallyWest-1.jpg

and his FNL acting reminds me of Wally too

Yeah, Porter would be an excellent Wally.

Maybe they could do something like have Barry Allen in the first movie, then have the torch pass to Wally during the JL movie (with Barry giving a heroic sacrifice like in Crisis), and then do Flash 2 featuring Wally. Or something like that. Also, as I've said before, they could have Wally and Barry get their powers at the same time from the same accident, but Wally's powers don't manifest until later.

Scott Porter as Wally>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Scott Porter as Barry

I would want Aaron Staton as Barry

all they would need to do in order to change Porter into Wally is green contacts

its funny to me. In here its alot of Barry supporters, the comics thread its Wally supporters, and the GA just wants to know when the next Batman film is coming

i started watching FNL for that same reason but now I just straight love the show Porter or not.
On here ppl on this site give it flack (most havent watched it) but it has one of the best young casts/casts period on tv ever
Ive used alot of actors from the show in fantasy castings
Everyone should give the show a watch. Its really something

Whoa the resemblance is uncanny . :wow:

I get where people are coming from with the passing the torch business but looking at it realistically, the flash gets one movie, if by some miracle it does well and gets a sequel do you really think there going to up and change the lead character to wally west. I would say no, the only way I see them doing wally is from the beginning and from the looks of things WB has had a problem with the whole legacy thing judging by there lack of being able to get the movie off the ground. The only thing that might be appeasing to wally fans is that Johns may actually try to incorporate him.

The resemblance is pretty good. Thats undeniable. Porter cant act for crap though.

i am not against both barry and wally being in the first film. Being that barry is the flash and then we are shown or hinted that also wally has gotten the powers too. Then yea it all counts on if the film does well for a sequel then have barry taken out and wally stepping in.

While I think Geoff Johns has been great on his Green Lantern run, I think he kinda took it down a notch with Flash: Rebirth. It's been delayed so many times that it's kinda getting buried out there, and I've heard from what I've read, it's not as well thoughout as Green Lantern: Rebirth.

Either way, it seems like The Flash will have two titles now: One with Barry and one with Wally (in a new red suit). I don't know..it may work. It may not.

Hopefully it'll pay off. (Will Flash have a big event storyline like Green Lanter's Blackest Night? Hmm)

I really enjoy his GL stuff. Secret Origins is really good. So was most of Rebirth
And he did do some good with Flash...but now-a-days I wish he would just stick with GL comics

That's simply just not true at all

Yeah, Porter would be an excellent Wally.

Great pic
That bolded idea is good, but then that kind of takes away Kid Flash

My idea is what I think Goyer was going to do. Barry sacrifices himself in the first scene, and then Wally takes up the mantle of the Flash.

I would have flashbacks of Barry effected the lives of different characters like Wally, Iris, & Jay

i still personally myself would like to have first film be solely on barry and his time as the flash. But yea wally is there too, and then in sequel find a way to make him 2nd flash.

Its so true. He has pretty bad comedic timing, everything sounds forced. Hes got a little charm, but he comes off so melodramatic and soap opera-ish. Maybe theres a role out there for him, but i find it INCREDIBLY hard to believe that either Flashes or Captain America are it.

Sorry to say, not a whole lot of people want to see a Jay Garrick movie, mind you three of them before getting to Barry or Wally. It's like having 3 Allan Scott Green Lantern movie before Hal Jordan's run.

Of course, it's best to go with modern/timeless. all the way.

Thought Jay Garrick was the most popular Flash and the best?...But I see Wally West is I guess.

*sighs* I actually agree with that. Porter is not that great. I still prefer Ryan Gosling as Barry.

and its more then likely dc if/when flash does happen it will be barry with the whole them going with hal for gl, and barry back in the land of the living in the comics and all that.

It seems like both the potential Flash and Green Lantern franchises have the same benefits(multiple incarnations)and the same possibility to get f***ed up. Personally, I hope both franchises turn out awesome(as long as Geoff Johns has a hand, or at least a ring-toting finger, in the script polishing). It could boil down to which movie gets put out first. If Green Lantern comes out and it ends up sucking a tainted ass, for argument's sake, then the Flash filmmakers will learn from the mistakes of GL, or vice versa. Then again, the odds could be defied and both franchises will be embraced by critics and fans alike thus making Dark Knight bread. Let's hope.

-so sayeth the mastermind-

this is something i brought up before it does seem its lot harder to do a film for gl or flash for examples were 3 or 4 other guys have used the identity and all that. Which guy has the rights to be first film version and all that. Plus for me i rather have each guy have their chance to since on the big screen. I wouldnt want to see for example what jl/jlu did and make a composited character.

Nope. if he was, then you would hear more love from the fans. Because he's the Flash of the Golden Age, most fans associate with Barry and Wally.

Again, it would be like making movies of the Green Lantern, but with Alan Scott. I think fans would be like "huh"?. Samething with Jay Garrick. A big "WTH".
