Iris West: Ana Friel

Wally West: Dustin Milligan

Krause is perfect for an older Barry hes my choice as well

Wow, Dustin Milligan is someone I hadn't considered for Wally, but in terms of looks he definitely has a lot of potential! Good find, Flash 13!

Also, he looks like he's visually flexible enough that he could convincingly play Wally both as a teenager and as a fully-realized adult superhero, which would make him a solid pick for a trilogy that transitions from Barry to Wally.

Oddly enough, looking at the bottom pic I get some shades of Ryan Reynolds, who was going to play Wally / The Flash before the movie project fell apart.

yea the case with wally as i said before it all really counts on at what point/age do they want to have wally be in any flash film. Now if its a barry origin film and barry is 24-27 yrs old or so, i would want wally to be around 15-18 yrs old range. They should at least have a decade apart in age. I would think that would make the uncle/nephew relationship seem more real there. I keep asking this how much of a age gap was there between barry and wally when wally was first brought into the comics?

Now that that's out of the way, I think characterizations are in order.

Barry Allen/ Neil Patrick Harris: A bright and cheerful guy who gets side tracked so much he is constantly late.

Iris Allen/ Rachel McAdams: A strong and loving type who doesn't let anything get past her, and knows Barry's secret but lets him keep it secret.

Wally West/ David Henrie: A young kid with a sharp wit who idolizes the Flash and wishes to be a hero. Small scene at best.

Captain Cold/ Josh Brolin: A determined criminal with a grass roots theme. Hates and respects the Flash/

Mirror Master/ Dominic Purcell: A holograms expert who is looking for new thrills at every turn.

Heat Wave: A severe pyromaniac who is looking for an outlet for his obsession. Cold utilizes this weakness to his advantage.

I agree with u on the characterization but there's somethin i dont like about nph i dont know wat it is i just dont like him as barry. My other problem is with david henrie, after watchin him in disney movies and tv shows he just comes off as lame to me and i also think he would look weird with red hair. nice job though.

Re: Characterization of the Rogues

I kind of partial to using the Sam Scudder Mirror Master in the first movie and making him a complete scumbucket. The kind that can die ironically at the end to the audience's applause. If Captain Cold is the methodical one, it would be good balance to have a loose cannon in the group.

Yeah, its weird. he was great in new frontier, i just wouldnt want him to be cast in a live action movie.

Yea I thought that too, but I don't think that's necessarily his fault, just the director and the writers (if there are any. Personally I think its manatees in a water tank) I think, given the chance, he could be really good

If they wanted to go with a slightly older Barry (so as to have a sufficient age gap between him and Wally), I'd suggest Teddy Sears. I know he's a favorite for Captain America, but really, who knows who they're gonna cast for Cap. I could definitely see him as Barry, and he's just old enough that he could be convincing as Dustin Milligan's uncle. There's only an 8 year difference between them, but with a bit of movie magic it'd work.

BTW, I do have to say this: Since Barry's back, I just hope that he loses his 'crew cut' in the comics. Give him spikey hair, longer hair, combed hair, whatever, but not crew.

You know Milligan reminds me of earlier Wally

Porter reminds me of current Wally

and Brody kind of reminds me of a mixture of both

but besides Peter Krause my top choice for Barry is still Aaron Staton from Mad Men

and I would like Rachel McAdams for Iris, but she turned down Pepper Potts, Rachel Dawes, and even Vesper in Casino Royale I dont think she would like to do Flash but who knows.
As for an older Iris... Mary Louise Parker would own that

Eric Johnson was Flash Gordan little while ago, that's the last thing ive seen him in. He was also on smallville, which makes me believe he enjoys playing comicbook characters.

I think dustin milligan would be pretty good as a young wally too. originally spencer daniels was my choice for a young roy harper, but i never got the chance to show him. my other choice for a young wally was kevin g. schmidt, i went with spencer because he's younger.

I'm curious to see why Rachel McAdams would turn down so many projects. Right now, her career is..okay. But other actresses like Amy Adams are surpassing her because they are consitently in the public's eye year after year. If they get too picky, their career(s) will drop like flies.

That's why I think McAdams said yes to Sherlock Holmes; to recoup on the mainstream roles that she turned down. Just a theory.

I'm guessing maybe she didn't want to be [superhero name]'s love interest or a Bond girl she probably didnt want to be labeled as that for probably the rest of her career. Either that or she doesnt want to be part of a franchise/series.

I havent seen Sherlock Holmes but maybe she's only slated to appear in one film so thats why she took it. But then again if she accepted the Rachel Dawes role she would have only been in one film. But maybe she didnt like how Dawes was written in TDK

The turning down of Pepper and Vesper are the ones that really have me scratching my head because they were really well written
