Was she actually invited and refused? I always tough, at least in Pepper's case, that Jon Favreau went by the fan's choice, Gwyneth Paltrow.

yea i dont know myself i didnt recall hearing she was up for those roles or declined them. As for flash film i still say more likely then not they will start with barry in origin and they will likely have the character be any where between 24-27yrs old(like what they are doing with green lantern according to script) so then they will want to stick between 24-34yrs old range for actors most likely So they could either end up going with someone on the younger end of the scale or go for someone on the older end of the scale and all that.

Yeah that needs to be in The Flash movie at some point. Carmine Infantino has even done cover art for that group. I think a relative of his is in it. I love the Ballad of Barry Allen. t:

i said it before myself, i dont know much on any of the flash characters. But personally i rather start with barry, have barry's comic traits done to the character. Then yes also include wally and his traits in the movie. And for the first film have a minor/small role. Then in "Potential" sequels have it open where he could become the next flash.

He did not have the web shooters though, like he did in the comics.

I'll agree that they shouldn't include the ring costume if it doesn't work on screen, but I'm skeptical that the audience won't take it in good fun. It is a piece of pseudo-science that Flash comics are full of and fits right in the world of The Flash. Not to mention it's a distinctive trademark of The Flash and how he's changed into costume for over 50 years. And, as I've said, I think "transformation" is an important superhero trope and it needs at least a little attention and imagination.

Now, yeah, they may do something "speed force" related as an option. Another pseudo-sciencific way. But, I'd doubt they do something as unimaginative as have him wearing his costume under his street clothes or having to run all the way to his home to change. (The latter is particularly undramatic when you want to get across the idea that the hero doesn't have a second to spare.)

Flash changing costumes at super speed could look impressive, its kind of a minor issue.

But the ring does raise a few questions, why he did make rings with costumes in them? How does he fit them in? Why does he spend time making those rings? What purpose does that serve?

But anyway this ring thing is a minor concern compared to other elements of the Flash mythos that may not work on the silver screen.

Well that kinda poses a problem in regards using time travel in a Flash movie doesn't it? Seriously time travel poses all sorts of problems in fiction, so unless you really know what you are doing or its the central premise of the story, you should really consider not using it.

i would perfer puppet/actor in monkey suit like planet of the apes style both the original and tim burton's. As for the character it self sure he is one of flash's more oddball foes. But if they define flash's world to be like that full of strange and unexplainable things it could work.

Who do you guys think should be the villain in the first? Like who would be a good threat for Wally since first becoming The Flash? Because IMO, I think Zoom should be saved for the second if there is one. Similar to how Joker was saved for TDK.

I agree that Zoom should be saved for a second film have Hunter Zolomon be a supporting character in the 2nd film
AS far as first film villian. I think Weather Wizard would be cool. The Rogues I would save for later maybe a third film

EDIT: You know what would be a cool 3rd film villain. Professor Zoom and Zoom like in Rogue War. I havent read it yet, but in it Bart, Wally, & Barry fight 2 of the Reverse Flashes maybe they could even throw Inertia in there. A 3 on 3 speedster fight

well who ever it is barry or wally who gets to be in first film as flash i agree zoom is better left for sequel villain with maybe zoom's alter ego having a role in first film to build up his character. As first film foe i could see mirror master, captain cold as likely choices to go with.

As for grodd as i said its all about how they show flash's world to be, and how they want to go about it. It could easily be done in a great manner or it could end up being cheesy.

Weather Wizard wouldn't be all too bad, I was thinking Mirror Master personally. He was always one of my faves as a Flash foe. Both could be good potential first villains, as well as Captain Cold.

The Rogues for a third film is a great idea.

totally if its like as i said tim burton's planet of the apes i dont think folks would think its silly at all. They just have to make it clear in the film's scope talking gorrila's and a advance city of them can co exist in a world with humans and all that. Heck i think grodd would make a killer foe to try and use. But for first film i think mirror master, captain cold, and even weather wizard would probably be the ideal guys to use for first film. Then sequel go with zoom. then like above poster for a 3rd film to the team up of rouges.

I'd use Mirror Master first because he is something we haven't seen before and can negate The Flash's abilities. We've never seen a guy who can come thru reflections/control them, we've seen a guy who can freeze stuff and control weather, so I suggest MM first. Save Thawne for a sequel.

Ultimate Flash would be awesome. He would be Barry Allen, but he would have Wally's appetite from the early wally stories, he would have bart's impulse lenses on his suit's mask and little like runner lines going up and down his costume. He would be a young guy, 24 like in the comics, fresh outa college, his biggest flaw would be that he would be lazy/late (but they'd really play it up, but he's be smart, the theme would be he can do things fast as light...but does he feel like it?), his place would be a mess, he's irresponsible, his GF would be considering leaving him cuz he is never on time for his dates with her and she isn't sure if he takes their relationship seriously (even tho he does, its just absent minded professorness), he will be close to losing his job because he has been late so many times (they would have fired him sooner but they haven't because he really is the best), his getting super speed allows him to have time for everything...but he can be the fastest man alive but that doesn't mean it will change his lazy/easy going/easily distracted nature. That's something he will have to overcome over the course of the book. And he would become a superhero for no other reason than the fact that he liked comic books/superheroes, kinda like KICKASS, and thought it would be fun to catch crooks. But then as he goes on in his career he realizes that the threats are real, and what he does is waaaay more serious than he ever thought it was at first and really effects a lot of people, more than he could possibly realize (this is how we would get villains like Thawne in it), this is where he would grow as a character and become a responsible adult, over the course of the series he would grow into a hero.

^^ I think that would be a great idea for a movie, personally.

LOL, very true. I'm pretty much behind the idea of MM being the first main villain. He'd be an interesting villain on screen for Wally to face off against and like you said, can negate his abilities. I'm all for it.

IDk myabe its because a see MM as a Rogue rather than a solo villians. Toi me hes like Vulture or Killer Croc...yeah there cool villains but can I see a whole film with them as the main villian...nope

I still think Weather Wizard is the best because he uses so many elements not just ice or fire. And I think Flash dodging lightning would be badass

and if they do use Captain Cold they need to include a joke about Mr Freeze
