at this point, I can't see Greg Berlanti taking on Flash, just like how I can't see Jonah Nolan taking on Superman as director.

im excited for the flash, his power is one that looks great in live action.

Hey Octoberist we know who you want for the role of Barry Allen / The Flash, but who would you like to see play Iris West?

I........don't know!!!!

Ideally, I wouldn't mind Felica Day. The only problem with Day is that she doesn't get 'big' roles for one reason or another. I love her in The Guild but she hasn't pulled a 'Kristen Bell' yet.

There's Lizzy Caplan, but she's also my Lois Lane choice.

I've got a feeling that they're go with someone who isn't the most obvious pick, but we'll see. Iris, like Lois, needs to have that 'spunk' factor.

What do you all think the odds are that we will see Wally West (in some capacity) in the upcoming FLASH movie?

I also believe that MARC GUGGENHEIM, Michael Green and Greg Bertlanti probably need Geoff Johns more for The Flash than Green Lantern. With Lantern, you have a vast wealth of stories from Johns, already in book form, where as the Barry Allen/Flash stories are limited to his new series (which is just at #5) and Blackest Night/Rebirth. Not alot.

So I'm sure he's working with them, showing them stuff that he's working on in the future. Isn't Geoff doing a Secret Origins of Barry?

Gemma Chan as Linda Park

I know it's not fair to say since it's a rom-com but 'Life as We Know It' looks so 'ehh'. Maybe Berlanti should just stick to producing and consulting. That said, I don't know if I want him to do The Flash, but I'm keeping an open mind.

He was attached to direct Green Lantern until they got Martin Campbell, so I doubt they'll keep him for Flash as well. I would like Steven Soderbergh to take a stab at either Superman or The Flash.

Here's my predictin, HIGH FIVING MFer :P

In terms of directing Flash, Superman or Wonder Woman, I really think that WB is looking at any new or fresh directors that came out from the Toronto Film Fest, or have been making waves for the past couple of years. Or WB favorites like Soderbergh.

Very Strong:

-Matt Reeves (Let Me In, Cloverfield): He hasn't announced what he's officially doing next and he WAS in the running for Wolverine 2. Don't be shocked if WB snags him. (Good fit for any DC project)

-Duncan Jones (Moon) Enough said! (Good fit for any DC project)

-Ruban Fleisher (Zombieland) He can do action and comedy perfectly. Also, he's free after his next movie. Hmmm? (The Flash)

-Greg Mottola (Adventureland, Superbad) I think he's a perfect fit for The Flash. (The Flash)

Good Chance

-Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go) He may or may not have a bad rep after his departure with Wolfman, despite his success with his latest film, 'Never Let Me Go'. (Superman, Wonder Woman)

Far Fetch but possible:

-Edgar Wright: The problem with him is that he's stuck with Ant-Man, but that movie is in limbo because it WAS suppose to be a tie-in film to The Avengers at one point but now it's stuck in development hell. It's possible that he can do another UK comedy, or jump ship. (The Flash, maybe Superman)

-Steven Soderbergh But he's busy next year his virus movie. Maybe Flash or someone else. (Superman)

-Neil Bloomkamp: He has repeatedly say that he's not interested in big franchises after the Halo meltdown. He's working on his own film now, but never say never in Hollywood. (Superman, or another DC project)

You know what I've never understood? Why are people under the impression that a Flash movie needs to be comedic? Because the Flash in Justice League Unlimited was? I've read tons of Flash comics and while they're not overly serious like Batman or the Punisher etc, they're not exactly a superhero spoof either.

It just boggles the mind.
