Yea thats pretty crazy. I have a ton of space on my PS3, but if i used my PS3 as much as my 360, and had as many games on it as my 360, that 80 gigs might not go so far.

I have a 40 gig and I'm down to like 15, but it's not as much the space that's the problem as much as it's the principle. I didn't think much of it until I read this article on 1UP:

It's off topic so I won't go into my discontent, but with as much extra time they had on the game since they were dropped by Activision, to me there simply is no excuse for that large of an install. 1-2GB at the most but beyond that it's silly.

I hope the 360 version is region free so I can order it from amazon.com, or else I'm going to have to buy the PS3 version and I don't reallt want to. I don't know if it's official, but online retailers have the 360 version listed as an Oct. 30th release in the UK.

LOL. Having to install everything IS annoying, but no. It's the controller and because all of my friends have a 360, including my brother and we're all looking forward to this game. We can't wait to play it on Xbox LIVE. I haven't even tried playing a PS3 game online.

Yea man, as long as i have been waiting, there is no way id be able to wait until Oct. Hopefully the 360 version wont be region locked and youll be golden.

Ive always wondered why some developers can manage without them while others cant. Look at Uncharted. That game had no install, yet had no loading times. Slapping a mandatory install on games seems like a lazy way out as its the easiest thing to do.

If hard drive space becomes an issue, Id suggest upgrading it. Prices are fairly cheap nowadays and only getting cheaper

The voices make the experience, but I wish Murray didn't sound like he was doing an impression of Venkman. (?) The original music is nice, but it's used a bit too much.

Yeah, essentially that's what it boils down to. I couldn't necessarily blame them at first, but with as long as the tech has been on the market combined with as long as dev kits have been out I don't think there's much excuse for developers still doing that.

Yeah, I didn't get that either. He said in the review that it seemed as if Murray as Venkman didn't care or something. From the videos we've seen it seems like Venkman sounded fine to me, he always had a very dry humor about him.

Dark_Lord, good news for ya buddy. Ghostbusters will NOT be region locked!

European fans of ghost busting with only an Xbox 360 got some bad news in early May when Sony announced that it would be publishing Ghostbusters in European and PAL regions. In other words, the only way to play Ghostbusters in a PAL region is on a Sony platform.

Luckily, all hope is not lost. Destructoid brings word today that Atari, the game's publisher in North America, has confirmed the 360 version of Ghostbusters is not region locked. With that piece of knowledge in hand, that enables those locked-out gamers to be able to import the game from North America and play on a PAL system without any problems.

On a side note, all us 360 ppl who planned on playing this game online day one, will have to wait. According to Major Nelson, 'Xbox Live will be down for maintenance on June 16th, for approx 24 hours.'

A blog entry in the newly launched European PlayStation.Blog website reveals that a demo of the PlayStation 3 version of Ghostbusters will hit the PlayStation Network this month.

An exclusive Ghostbusters PlayStation 3 demo will be made available to download from the PlayStation Network shortly after the E3 event--no later than mid-June.

The blog also reveals that a few other games, including Trash Panic, Fat Princess, Numblast and a number of classic PSP titles, will make their debut as digital downloads from the Store this month as well.

The full PS2 and PS3 versions of Ghostbusters are set for release on June 19. The PC, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS editions were put off to late 2009 thanks to an exclusivity deal with Sony. North America will see the simultaneous release of the game on all platforms on June 16

I'm not sure how reliable of the source that is, and it's really not like it matters that much with the game so close to release, but we may be seeing a demo this Thursday on the EU Store. Maybe, unless they release a demo after the release, which isn't unheard of

At this point, im not sure i want a demo. I mean im so ready for the full game a demo wont really help me at this point, itll just spoil the awe that ill be in the very first time i fire off a proton stream. C'mon June 16th!!!

Same here. We're too close to the release for a demo to do any real good for me. Maybe if we get it before Friday or Saturday, but if it's too close to Tuesday I'll try to refrain until the real thing. Which is less than a week away!!!

Yea iv made the decision that if the demo were to drop as early as tomorrow that i wont play it. I think i can hold out for the full thing on Tuesday. Can not wait to fire off that first proton stream, its gonna be glorious. I also think im gonna rock that Ghostbusters II flight suit first.

I don't know, if the demo comes this week I'll probably still play it. I don't think it'll detach the magic of the moment for me personally or anything

I'm going to be ordering from Amazon and I probably won't be getting the game for a few days after release, so I think I'll play the demo. I doubt it will have any effect on my enjoyment of the final game anyway. It's hard to curb a starving man's hunger with a mere appetizer after all.
