that's Capitalism and buyer loyalty for you....if you bought it from Wal-Mart you could get a gold proton pack, but I think that was just for the first week

Grey? Ok, thought it was dark blue, amost black. But then again, I haven't watched the Movies in a while. But Pre-order bonus? This stuff starts to really annoy me.

Yea iv heard others state it looked like a dark dark blue but the Gamestop thing says "exclusive gray flightsuit"

Gold proton pack? That's... there are no words to describe how lame that is.

Are there often game exclusives where some item is colored gold? The other game to have gold exclusives is ROTF, with a gold Optimus Prime and Megatron. Why not G1 skins instead, that's something people would actually want.

Because that would require a lot of 3D modeling and such. A gold skin is just a repaint of some textures all to one color, which is easy.

They had it in the first Movie game, they could've made it for the new one. And if they didn't want to remodel them, they could've repainted them with G1 colors.

Anyway, I just don't understand the thought process behind these exclusive decisions.

Me either. I think they've just become such a standard practice in big game releases that everyone feels compelled to do them now, regardless of whether anyone has a genuinely good idea for one or not.

So, I rented this game tonight and so far it's tons of fun. Right now I'm in the library... this is the part I hate.

In ghost movies and games, the only thing I really hate are children. It creeps me the hell out. :(

Got it last night. The co-op is really fun. The only annoying this is having to manually release pressure pack every minute.

GeOW2 had as golden lancer.

I'm at the cemetery, past the stone angels and I'm trying really, really hard not to get angry. Ghost overkill much? I've been busy with nothing but getting the team back on their feet.

I don't remember that part being too hard. You've just gotta be quick about getting the ghosts into traps.

It worked better the 2nd time. Much better. The first time though almost every 5 seconds I had to revive someone or be revived.

I noticed the same thing when I was playing through on hard especially in the Cemetary level when you get to the huge door that you need to open. They would literally get downed right after I helped them back up then when we all inevitably got downed when I reloaded the game they were all dodging and kicking arse like I'd never seen.

Yeah, first time through I played it on Experienced and died there like 10 times. It was freaking ridiculous. I liked the medic system, but the GB AI can be so underpowered that part was ridiculous.

I replayed the whole game a second time and did cemetery on casual, just because of that--I played everything else still on experienced, as I feel like certain parts like the one already mentioned, as well as the Shandor boss fight phase 1 and the beginning of the museum level would be impossible on professional and the load screen after deaths was making me hate the GB song--

And the level was too easy then. Ray was a dead-eye and the enemies and final boss fight were push overs. But the stone-angel part was just right in difficulty. I think that section they just make it too easy to die in.

For me that bit was a walk in the park compared with the stone angels just before! 2 hits from them and you're down, and Ray takes forever to revive you so he dies quickly too. That was the only time I lost my temper lol, and that was mainly because you had to go through all the talk every time you restart.

Oh, that bit with just you and Ray against the stone cupids is horrible. I died like 5 times there. Ray is absolutely useless and the only hope you have is to either capture-stream or slime-tether one of the cupids into the gate as quickly as possible.

Yes. I hate that blasted part, worst of all because I literally had no idea what to do and had to go on gamefaqs for the solution. Usually, I don't get stumped on simple puzzles but I was dying before I could even get to problem solving the damn gate.

And then when they showed up again for the fight with the two statues - it wasn't as bad but I nearly lost my mind when I saw them again.

I died several times against those dreaded stone angels. But because of that I've improved my aiming skills quite a bit. I didn't know what to do, so I was slamming one after another with the slime-tether into walls and into the ground. After at least two dozen stone angels I was like "When is this over!?" :cmad:

After another inevitable death, I paid attention to Ray, because he actually tells you what to do and then it didn't take long.

And I also finished the game. It was quite a ride. I enjoyed it, even if there where some annoying parts.

Anyone play the PS2/Wii version? Is it any good? I know its a different game but does it hold up well? Is it worth checking out in addition to the PS3/360 one?

Yeah, he does tell you what to do, which I noticed once I knew what to do. The problem is he tells you while you're in the middle of running around like a madman trying to avoid the angels.

I think we can agree that whoever came up with that section should be flogged - just a little.

I just checked the reviews. The Wii version scored surprisingly well. Gamespot gives it a 8/10 and IGN a 7.8/10.
