Why are you guys asking questions like that when the movie comes out in two days?
do you enjoy being annoying?

The one constant I've noticed with the reviews is that people are complaining about different things.
If this thread does not get nominated for Thread of the Year come awards time, I will eat my hat. Eat it, I say!
Don't mind him, he is probably still butt hurt over how the movie turned out in his case.
Did you see John? I didn't.
Me too actually, and I think that's a bad thing considering with one major consistent complaint harping on one factor like "Reynolds sucks" or "the dialogue is lame" or something can usually be followed by "but you can appreciate the acting/effects/score/cinematography/etc!" And this doesn't seem to totally have that element which sucks to hear.
I didn't notice him at all either. I will be checking it out again on Saturday and I'll try to spot him then. Off topic here but my favorite part of the movie was maybe the beginning with Abin Sur. Also anytime spent on Oa was fantastic. If we get a sequel I am hoping for a lot of time in space and on Oa.
My problem starts and ends with Ryan Reynolds. I've never been a fan of his and everytime I see him in a movie, I see the same character going back to that bad last Blade movie. So I was definitely on the fence about it. In any case, my wife and I will be seeing it Friday. The comic book loving kid in me wants all these movies to succeed.
I grew up reading Marvel but my top two super hero movies are TDK & BB.

Yup. Van Wilder with a power ring. I hope they drop him from Deadpool and go with someone like Seann William Scott.
Maybe his scene was deleted. Because G'Hu also had a voice actor hired, but had no lines.
My favorite part was-
Obviously, the post-credits scene. But I also liked all of the training and Hal's driving scene, not sure why, but it felt like a great introduction to the character.
There was a little kid a few rows back at my screening that was OBSESSED with Hector. He understood everything, but whenever Hector did something he'd ask his Mom "Does he have to see what's wrong with him?" "He gets to look inside the alien?" "Can that really happen?" I thought it was cute.
I've wanted to see Sean in a comic book hero role for a long time.
OT: SO Mr Popper's PEnguins has a 73%....no just no. Not even in relation to GL. But that had the worst f***ing trailer Ive ever seen. It just cant be accepted as good. It cant
I know this is about to turn into a bash the critics and their "elitist snobbery" thread, but I will point out that they gave Thor, X-Men: First Class and even Fast Five high marks and good reviews.
Maybe GL isn't as bad as they're saying, but I imagine if you really want to like a movie, you're going to like it. I should know, I use to defend Spider-Man 3, after all.
I really think critics are losing their touch. Sometimes, they are dead right about a film and sometimes they're not. It's all a matter of opinion, which everyone has.
It's like I said: it's all a matter of opinion. If people go into GL wanting to hate it, they'll hate it even if it's a decent film.
And Rotten Tomatoes and MetaCritic aren't always a good indication of good movies. I mean, I enjoyed POTC 4 (which got a 33% "rotten" rating at RT) but didn't really care for an Oscar bait film like The King's Speech (which got a 95 "fresh"). I liked the latter, but didn't get the huge hoopla and Oscar campaign.
What the hell comes after the credits?
