OK, here's a few things I'd love to see in the next film...

1) The primary villain should be the Lizard (due to Dr. Connors' association with Peter Parker). The good doctor's transformation could be random; its more frightening and suspenseful that way.

2) The secondary villain (aka "evil sidekick") should be the Shocker; I'd love to see them do that story...imagine what kind of stuff Peter would have to do, to beat a guy who can generate energy blasts and force-fields at will.

3) Mary-Jane Watson & Gwen Stacy should both return; Gwen would introduce Peter to her friend Felicia, who in the course of the film would be revealed as the Black Cat.

4) Meanwhile, Peter finally proposes to MJ properly, and then word breaks out about the Lizard terrorizing local citizens before fleeing underground. Peter dons the Spidey suit as usual, but is stopped at the Lizard's lair by the Shocker, who is serving as a sort of one-man guard for the reclusive monster. Black Cat joins Spidey in bringing down Shocker, and during the battle, Peter learns she's Felicia, but promises not to tell. Cat turns Shocker over to the cops, while Peter heads for a dangerous showdown with his professor's ravenous alter-ego.

5) A huge battle scene occurs in the lair, and after getting cut up pretty bad, our hero finally manages to subdue the 6-foot lizard. Later, Connors wakes up in his lab, and in return for sparing his life, agrees to help Spider-Man whenever possible. We see Connors beginning research for an antidote to his dangerous condition...

6)...as the last remaining symbiote sample escapes from the lab. Later, it latches to recently-escaped convict Cletus Cassidy. As the ooze goes from pure black to reddish-orange, we hear a bloodthirsty shriek, and ROLL CREDITS.

Sounds good. I like the idea of having Shocker in a movie. He's a better choice than someone like Mysterio or the Vulture, in my opinion.

I think this story could be better without the Black Cat. Everyone seems to just want her in, but she could be saved for a different movie. We don't need three of Peter Parker/Spiderman's loves in one movie. It could work though, I guess.

That wouldn't work, too many characters, too much going on for the "non-comic people" to keep track of. It would be badly paced like the 3rd one.

My idea for a 4th one would be to have only one villain, The Lizard. While everything around Peter Parker goes wrong and have it end with Peter getting engaged with MJ at the end.

i like it maybe without felicia, but anyway, your number 6 idea seems to be popular, i wrote the same thing in another thread b4 reading this.

Just a question, why would the Shocker protect the Lizard??

I would like to see Shocker tho, even as a 5 min villian at the start.

I figured that the Shocker's motive would be the same as any criminal; he's either getting paid, or is desperate for a solid chance at taking out Spidey.

what you did not put is how you would introduce shocker, why is he protecting the lizard.

but still awesome the spidey and blackcat team up against shocker reminds me of a part in spiderman 2 the game.

nice way to introduce carnage, great idea.

If we didn't get a cliffhanger for Venom, then we most certainly won't for Carnage. Plus, Carnage can't carry a whole movie himself. He needs to be Carnage by about half-way into the movie, and then have him terrorize people in the films second half.

Face it, Harry is the only cliffhanger we'll get.

The Shocker cannot generate "energy beams" and "force fields."

The Shocker's gauntlets fire blasts of compressed, vibrational air. That's it.

Thats a great idea!:spidey: I love the set-up for Spidey 5 at the end.

Well, I was basing my statement off the recent video games featuring the Shocker, where he appears to use energy as his main weapon (a la the "Spidey 2" game). I don't actually recall reading many comics featuring the Shocker, but he's still a cool character IMO. Besides, how believable would compressed air be for a villain in a film? The name "Shocker" reminds some folks of lightning or power, not necessarily air.

Just my 2 cents.

He wears a ridiculous-looking quilt suit because it absorbs the vibrations.

If you want an electric villain, do Electro.

I wouldn't mind a Scorpion & Lizard team-up vs Spidey thing going on in SM4. The tag line can be:

"Tails! You lose!" :woot:

(I just felt bored, and I still am suffering from spidey fever, so I decided to go ahead and try my hand at writing a spider-man 4 script. I have a lot of it outlined in my head, and basically the main villains are Kraven, Lizard, Alistor Smythe and the spider slayers, and Venom. The movie takes place about a year and a half after the events of the third movie. Pete is still dealing with Harry's loss and MJ leaving for 6 months for a gig over @ LA. The central theme I'm working around with is using our gifts to it's utmost potential. Pretty much, since there's so many villains in the script, I wanted to show spidey more as a cunning warrior, and how he uses his wits to fool his hunters. So here's the first two pages (it's a bit comedic right now, with a special appearance by one of spidey's lamest villains :oldrazz: )

TITLE CREDITS:

WEB OF SPIDER-MAN

ZOOM OUT: EXT: ALLEY – NIGHT

We transition into a small spider web. As the camera zooms out more, we see that there is a camera attached to this spider-web.

PETER (V.O.)
Tonight’s just like any other night for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But for me, Peter Parker, I’m still dealing with many things. I’ve learned how to accept the responsibility that has been given to me, heck, I’ve even learned how to accept the downsides of it. But between M.J. leaving for LA for 6 months and living with Harry’s loss, I guess that I need to put my sorrows on the sideline for a bit and try to enjoy the finer things in life, such as bringing sleazeball bank robbers down in order to catch a good picture.

The camera flashes and we transition into spider-man’s fist hitting the face of a masked thug. The masked thug is knocked down silly.

SPIDER-MAN
Yeesh, that’s gonna sting.

The Thug gets back up, a bit dazed, but ready to put on a fight.

THUG
You think that stings, try this on for size web head.

The thug appears to be wearing high tech looking gloves. Electrical energy is produced from the fingertips of the gloves, and the thug emits this electrical energy directly at Spider-Man. Spidey is knocked down hard.

SPIDER-MAN
Hey, didn’t mom ever tell you not to play with weapons?

THUG
Nope, my mom never loved me at all, oh well.

Spider-Man lunges towards the thug to try and get a hit in. The thug once again shocks Spider-Man with his gloves. Spider-Man starts to feel a bit paralyzed from the power of the electrical shocks

SPIDER-MAN
JEEZ MAN!!!! YOU KNOW WHAT, WHATEVER CHILDHOOD PROBLEMS YOU HAD BACK THEN, PLEASE DON’T TAKE IT OUT ON A CHUMP LIKE ME!

THUG
Oh, a smartass eh’? Well get a load of this, courtesy of Mr. Allister Smythe, us small times for a nice decent fee are getting our grubby little hands on the most advanced military weaponry our country has to offer. You know what that means?

SPIDER-MAN
Apparently Santa thought the naughty list was irrelevant to you kids this year and went ahead and gave all you JoBlos a shiny new toy for Christmas.

THUG
Not exactly, this means that even a has-been like me can dispose of a super-powered freak like you.

SPIDER-MAN
Freak, don’t you think that’s a little harsh?

The thug shocks spider-man a third time, leaving spider-man very vulnerable at this moment.

THUG (cont’d)
This is the last time you’ll stop a thug like me from robbing a bank Spider-Man, any last words before I turn you into a bowl of ash?

The thug starts to charge up his fingers for a more powerful blast.

SPIDER-MAN
I got a few, but I must warn you, it may come off as a little shocking.

As the thug releases the energy, spider-man uses his quick reflexes to web the thug’s fists, trapping the electrical energy within. The energy shocks the thug, leaving the thug and his high tech gloves disabled.

THUG
You meandering pest! The gloves cost me my life savings you punk! Didn’t it ever occur to you that I was robbing banks for a specific reason?

SPIDER-MAN
Science experiment, dying daughter, I’ve heard a lotta good ones, but for gloves that look like something you might see at a bargain bin over at a comic book convention, sorry bud, it just doesn’t take the cake.

spider-man webs up the thug, and carries him over the shoulder

THUG
Can’t you give a guy a break?

SPIDER-MAN
Hmmm, that sounds familiar; think I heard that one before. But, no man, I can’t, not in the best interest of the public, yadda yadda yadda, too bad, so sad.

IN THE ARMORED TRUCK

THUG
How about if I both have a dying family member and a science experiment on the horizon, will you try and reconsider?

EXT. BANK – NIGHT

The armored truck carrying the thug drives off into the night. We see Spider-Man with Captain Stacy and a fellow police officer.

SPIDER-MAN
Just hold on to that thought shockie, see ya in about three years, I think.

I think the main plot was revealed too quickly. That's just me. I would have liked it if the plot was uncovered a bit more gradually, maybe if we could unveil how Pete's life is going first, THEN get into the fighting. But I loved how Alayster Smythe is in the story. And I really enjoyed the comments. Is that guy supposed to be the Shocker?

Dude thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the reason I went straight to the fighting is because I wanted to differentiate a little bit from the formula of the last three movies. All three movies started out with showing how Peter's life is going at the moment, but I guess I thought it would be cool if we start with spidey catchin some common thug, and I really wanted to show the witty and trivial side of spidey that the movies barely touched upon. Yes, the thug was the shocker, and I thought it would be kool if he made a kind of glorified cameo in the script. So with all of that said, anyone else have any feedback for the first two pages :woot:

no one ?????? no witty comebacks :woot: , no snide remarks :-)whatever: ), seriously though, no one else has some constructive criticism in regards to this first sequence of my script?

(Here's the third page to what I've decided to call "Web of Spider-Man"
I'll try to add pages 4-6 tomorrow if I can.)

Captain Stacy covers his face with his hands, looking exhausted and concerned.

CAPTAIN STACY
That was the 7th guy this week.

OFFICER
Yeah, what’s up with all these small time crooks and military armory, just who in the right mind would give weapons like that to these bums?

SPIDER-MAN
Someone who thinks that giving away sub machine guns with exploding rounds counts as charity work.

CAPTAIN STACY
Well, whoever it is, I just hope to god it isn’t the Kingpin.

SPIDER-MAN
Doubt it sir, the guy in the horns took him out five years ago. Too bad, I was still a rookie then, would’ve loved to meet the guy.

CAPTAIN STACY
Spidey, did the masked man tell you anything, anything that may give us any insight into what exactly is going on over here.

SPIDER-MAN
The idiot slipped up and revealed the name of the distributor cap'.

CAPTAIN STACY
Who is it?

SPIDER-MAN
Allister Smythe.

CAPTAIN STACY
Oh Christ that’s bad.

SPIDER-MAN
I know, this is heavy, so, I’m gonna do some surveillance work tonight just for you, because I wanna keep the fans happy cap’, and I know you’re my biggest one.

CAPTAIN STACY
Thanks, really. You’ve done so much for our city, just, please, be careful, for our sakes.

SPIDER-MAN
You know careful is my middle name, well, actually it isn’t, but I wanted to sound self-assured.

CAPTAIN STACY
How will we keep in touch, do I need to stage a bank robbery or something?

SPIDER-MAN
A spider signal would be sweet, but don’t worry, I’ll get back to you within the week. I'm calling it a night, see ya around cap'.

Spider-Man leaps to the air, spins a web, and gracefully swings into the night.

Opening Scene: We see Spiderman swinging in the New York night sky on his way to meet Dr. Connors.

Peter Parker Narration:
I'm Peter Parker and as you know I'm far from an average Joe thanks to Spiderman. Two worlds intwined into one. Both sufferering from great losses. I lost my Uncle Ben. I lost my best friend Harry. Now I'm afraid of losing the woman I love. Spiderman will always have enemies and Peter Parker will always have people in his life that love him very much. Even though I've forgiven Flint Marko I cant ever forget my Uncles haunting words. With great power comes great responsibility. I truly learned the meaning of that coming in contact with the symbiote. Even though I'm a superhero I can't save everyone though. Eddie Brock being one of them. I never had the chance to go back and see what was left of Eddie or the symbiote. MJ came with me to take care of Harry's body and that was my only concern. I miss him everyday. Yet I just hope none of that dreadful symbiote is left to come in contact with anyone before another tragedy happens. Dr. Connors is studying what is left of the symbiote I wonder what he has come up with.

(Bank alarm goes off)

Spidey: Who's making a speedy withdraw now??

(In the distance Spidey sees a female figure with bags of money dash out of a bank running towards some buildings)

Spidey: Wow who is that?? It's not often I get to apprehend a fox like that. Well here goes nothing....

(Spidey swings at full speed at the bank robber. But is having a hard time catching up to her cuz she's running at super speed.)

Spidey: Um slow down please...wow someone had their Wheaties this morning this is one quick chic.

(Bank robber lashes out a whip and swings up a skycraper swinging and clawing towards the top)

Spidey: Who does she think she is?? Spider-Woman??? Well swinging up tall buildings is my expertise lady!!!

(We see the shadowy female figure turn around and throw what looks to be smoke bombs at Spidey)

Spidey: Those aren't pumpkin bombs....

(Smoke bombs disburst and Spidey is knocked unconcious and stops swinging from the gas emitted from the bombs and begins falling. Bank robber swings back to catch him. Robber places Spidey near a dumpster in an alley.)

Bank Robber: You should be careful what you cross paths with Spidey.

(Robber kisses Spidey in the head and flees the scene money and all)
