Iron Man 3 The Official IM3 Trailer Thread! - Part 1

So there's no 1080 downloadable apple version yet?

Anyway trailer's fantastic its great that they showed so much and yet so little. They showed nothing of the battle scenes with the extremis army. The heartbreaker armor looks badass and the space one as well. However I would have wanted a little bit more mandarin, I wonder how he will fight tony if his rings have no power, Extremis mandarin? maybe he injects himself...

Man of Steel, meet your better, Iron Man 3.
And that's coming from a long time Superman lover!

Does anyone have a clue as to what the Mandarin is holding when he is outstretching his arms? It has writing on it and when the low quality version of the trailer leaked I thought it was part of his gown, but in the HD versions it looks like he is holding a short pole that keeps it outstretched and drapped behind him. Perhaps he is actually holding out knives and the placement just makes it appear as if whatever he is holding is supporting the semi transparent cape (for a lack of a better word), but just curious what others thought as well as if anyone had any idea about the writing or images printed on it. It is a cool image regardless.

???? HUH ???? Now how in the heck to does Cumberbatch sound like Ledger? or Silva? I'm sorry I'm not connecting the dots here. I never once thought of Ledger for any of those characters.

he's saying villains aren't allowed to give speeches anymore. he's saying since ledger gave speeches in dark knight (you know just like every villain ever) that all future villains are trying to be like him

I don't doubt that directors/actors take inspiration and even outright copy stuff from others. I've seen it in other films.

Silva's performance reminded me more of an amalgomation of Bond villians more than the Joker. About the only thing Jokerish about his performance, is when he steals the police uniform and blends into the crowd.

Kingsley's performance reminds me nothing of the joker and certainly not his speech.
Kingsley was drawing out some words, which is reminiscent of Ledger's Joker. At least to me. Of course he was never the first monologuing villain. :funny:

Cool stuff! Love me some RDJ.:word:

I agree that doesn't look much like Pepper to me if that is what people are suggesting, although there is the other shot at the 1:49 trailer mark where she is clearly upset and it looks like she is hooked up to a similar device. So, not sure on that one.

Surfer

It's definitely Pepper. She's an "involuntary guest" of Killian and AIM, and the trailer clearly shows she gets the Extremis virus. Still hard to tell about that one scene atop the docks where the Extremis soldier is flipping an armor (I think it's one of the "47 Dronin", but it could be Tony or Rhodey), but it looks like shoulder-length red hair there. I'm 95% positive the judo-ka is either Pepper or "Bethany Cabe."

Don't think that's an arc reactor on Pepper's chest in the lab, though. There *was* a rumor to that effect, but I think it's just lighting on the harness that locks her in. If she had an arc reactor, we'd see evidence of that in her sports-bra scene in the trailer.

lmao

epic sarcasm is epic.

Completely awesome!

Good old fashion revenge" for what???

The imagine of Tony firing a gun with one hand and wearing only a gauntlet firing a repulsor blast with the other = AWESOME!

This trailer was pretty epic! All the armors lining up, the action, and I personally love Then Mandarin in the trailer.

Favorite line, "Do you want an empty life, or a meaningful death?"

Damn, that line is pretty good.

cherokeesam,

I am not saying it's not her necessarilly only that it doesn't look like her to me in these shots.

However, as I said before there is another shot of her closeup with a similar device around her so it would make sense that she is there.

That trailer gave me chills.
The music, the dialogue, everything.
Woooooo man. CBM of the year here, folks.

Anyone get these links to work as they still are not working for me. It just says waiting for a response from hd-trailers.net

Surfer

The links work and I must say it's way better in 1080p. I'm using an Ipad.

Caved in and watched the trailer. After this, I won't be watching any more clips, because I don't want to see the entire movie in bits and pieces before it comes out.

Now, with that said ... OMGICAN'TBREATHETHISTRAILERWASSOFREAKIN'AWESOME.

I don't want to jump the gun too soon, but if this movie turns out as good as it looks, then Marvel Studios may have their best film to date (yes, even topping The Avengers and the first Iron Man). This movie looks fantastic!

Seems a bit too serious for my liking. I loved the first Iron Man film. Had a perfect balance between humor and seriousness.

I must saying seeing the new trailer in high quality definately made it alot more enjoyable for me. I give the trailer about an 8 or 8.5 as far as second trailers go, it's a pretty great trailer overall. :im:

The "CBM of the year" comments are overkill tho, MOS is only on trailer #1 and Thor:TDW and The Wolverine haven't had ANY trailers.

With Shane Black at the helm, I'm sure there'll be some lighthearted moments. Seems like most of his movies do.
