i just started doinf gif animations in photoshop-so still very poor at it right now.

there was actually a "how to" in the help section (im using Adobe CS2)

I want to eventually start making some proper animations-mostly GL stuff!

Hey Im with ya thats cool I love GL.

Dennis Haysbert as Darksied

The Process
This is sort of what the movies should do to make Darksied.

The movies should take an actor like Haysbert (apply the make up and prosthetics) and CG his face over the body double, in this case Kane. The body double would have the make up and costume deon too, I'm assuming. But for the close ups and dialogue and scenes where his face is visible just CG over the actor's face. (Like Gimmly in LOTR)
This is all doable in real life too without using a big completely CG character.
They could even use computers to make Darksied even larger, say a few feet taller, (like they did with the bad guy in 300).

Nice but I hope they don't use that in a movie though only because he looks like he's wearing a DRESS!?:cmad: lol I hope they get some pants on him for the movie!

I really hope he's in the movie though...I've been waiting for him to be on the BIG screen for awhile now...

Yeah, that would look silly in live action I think. You couldn't really see it in the manip of Haysbert I posted, but I used Darth Vader's legs for the lower half of his body.

That or something like it would work best I think.

yea that costume rocks something like that would be awesome.

I agree the a dress might not be as intimidating,
The point was to try to show that the studios could use Darkseid in a Superman or JLA film,
without making him a big CG creature like Hulk. and without making any big changes like giving him big (Mr. Freeze) armor or something.
(Same can be done with the Hulk, or any other big monsterous looking characters)
I was also trying to make him look as close to Jack Kirby's design as possible. (and Kirby's had a Roman toga type dress thing, even Timm's animated version had the dress thing.)

Oh yeah, I know it's a really good manip just I don't like the dress with anything. lol :oldrazz:

Artistsean thats awesome did you do that?

Yup, I did.
Thanks guys for liking them. I think the dress thing wouldn't work for the movie, but I didn't want to do the Underwear version from the comics.

For the movie they could do short shorts, or something like his Unlimited version of the dress thing:

yea that would work best to me. Its not flash like a WW suit and its not tot bulky.

Beautiful manip. Exactly how I would want WW to look on screen. No starry thongs for the silver screen.

Now, could someone use this costume for a Monica Dean manip? :woot::woot:

Oh good lord. It's not a damn thong (except when guys like Mike Deodato draw it.) It would be fine for a movie.

It doesn't transition well. Lynda Carter rocked the look and they look like granny panties. Let's update it a bit and giver her a battle skirt/armor ensemble.

I was thinking more along the lines of Alex Ross art actually. Hell, if Lynda could have had *that* costume, granny panties would not have been a problem at all.

If Wonder Woman's costume was re-imagined for the movie, please give her a Battle skirt, a cape of some sort and some kick ass boots...NOT high heels!!

Here are some ideas...

maybe without the wings on the tiarra.

i agree, but if she has the cape at times, i just want it to be one colour like just blue. not stars and no red borders. it looks WAY too americanized
