The Official Joker Costume Thread

woodstro (or maybe I should call you Maestro? t, is this picture I've found on DeviantArt of you? Gotta be. A Canadian fan took it at Fan Expo 2009 so it has to be you, it's a really great shot and I thought it'd mention it in case you haven't seen it yet. It was uploaded a week ago.

Love, love the outfit! I think my fave are the amazing (Mueller?) pants because they can be "fiendishly difficult", to quote Peter Jackson, to get right. Many aspects of the outfit are difficult - it's pretty much a bloody nightmare and very time consuming I can imagine - and seeing people get the pieces so right is wonderful.

You've got great Heath hair which is also difficult for most of costumers I think, considering how quite a few are younger than Heath was as the Joker and he was very mature even for his 28 years and had a high forehead and distinct hairline. Most younger people and teens don't have it. Those temples... You don't have to have the exact same hairline to be a great Joker but it obviously doesn't hurt if you do! And with just the right amount of curling, too, plus with added cooking oil (!). Haha, Heath and his crazy hair! Well done.

And this pic you posted is perfect Joker. Some of my fave I've seen on here.

"The Official Joker Costume Thread" (+ the original) has grown in epic proportions since, well, years now. It's been incredible reading it all this time. You think you've seen it all but people keep the surprises coming. The thread's one of the reasons why I like returning to SHH despite how much slower it is nowadays compared to pre and some months after TDK. Kudos!

(PS: Will deathfromabove be coming back? I've always enjoyed his posts.)

here's the color before

Was it just the standard orange though? I've talked to Magnoli about diffrent colors, and a few people are supplying their own. Including someone with a salmon color....

EDIT - DFA either got banned or left very abruptly...I can't remember/don't know why. I think he got banned though. I actualy forgot about him, LOL!

EDIT 2 - Totaly forgot, but yesterday I picked up a wig for my Wonka/nurse Joker costume...Some guy had two of his kids with Joker masks on taking pictures. I ran over to them and asked if they liked the Joker, and then handed over one of my pictures. We talked about lack of local conventions, a few people who went to the only local one (that I don't go to.), and then he asked to see the pictures again. He came out and told me at first he thought it was just a still image from the movie.

at the time i just told him the same color as his lining plus when i order my coat the violet color wasn't available they were using the light purple.

Ok, I wasn't for sure if you had supplied your own orange, and then weathered it or what. I'm sorta up in the air about the standard orange lining he has, so if you had used something else, I was going to ask where you got it. lol.

EDIT - OMG, I totaly forgot...Someone put one of those Obama Joker posters up at the end of my street. I'm thinking EVRYONE thinks I put it there, because it's the only one I've seen in town.

Hands down the BEST i have EVER seen. High five mate *, it looks spectacular....gobsmacked....cant think of anything else. So when does shooting for Batman three start? Does the Joker have a bigger part in this one??? lol

Hey Woodstro, could you possibly PM about some tips on darkening the shirt, dies and amounts etc? I have to agree with you that the Magnoli shirt is a little too light. I'd appreciate it if you could help.

Nice pic, adds a little drama. I see your point totally, but people forget to add things now again. I think its a little offensive to suggest that somebody you dont know suffers from ADD, i mean think before you type right???? an apology would be nice atleast...

and back to Joker costuming, and less arguing before the mods do get wazzed off. We're supposed to be helping each other, not falling out!!

Well considering I dont believe that ADD is a real "disease" or "disorder", and I just think it's an excuse for lazy parents to drug their kids so they dont have to take responsiblity for them being too "rambunctious" or for "having too much energy."
